Adventure Tips

Dress in layers for fluctuating temperatures

Temperatures near the hot springs contrast sharply with the outside air—wear moisture-wicking base layers and a warm outer shell.

Bring a swimsuit and water shoes

Essential for enjoying the hot springs comfortably and safely around wet surfaces.

Charge your camera batteries

Cold weather drains batteries quickly, especially important for capturing the Northern Lights or ice sculptures.

Stay hydrated despite the cold

Dehydration can sneak up in winter; bring water and sip regularly despite cooler temps.
