And since you are in Madeira Island, why not pay a visit to the Desertas Island. From all the islands and islets in this Natural Park Reserve the only one that can be visited is “Deserta Grande”, and it’s here you will get to know the Desertas Island, home of several birds and the known Monk Seal. The trip takes approximately 7 hours and it’s seasonal (between May and September)
