Experience the beauty of Buttle Lake with convenient half-day and full-day boat rentals from our kiosk at the campground. Enjoy paddling with your pets, as long as they have their own lifejackets. ##More info We offer half day (3 hour) and full day (6 hours, morning start only) rentals directly adjacent to the lake for convenience. Rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Overnight Rentals: Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer overnight rentals, but hope to offer this opportunity in the future.
The Fine Print: Participants 19 and younger require a parent/guardian signature to rent.
All paddlers are required to sign a Rental Agreement, Assumption of Risks and Waiver of Liability document prior to renting.
Pets: Pets are allowed in canoes and on sit on top kayaks but must have their own lifejacket. At this time we do not offer pet lifejacket rentals, so you will need to come prepared with your own.
Always wear a lifejacket while kayaking on Buttle Lake for safety, especially with changing weather conditions.
Wind and rain can make paddling challenging; review the forecast to ensure calm conditions.
UV rays are strong near water surfaces, so protect your skin throughout your trip.
Keep your belongings dry with waterproof bags or containers during your paddling adventure.
Buttle Lake was created as part of a hydroelectric project in the 1950s, transforming the original landscape and now serving as a popular recreational site.
