Enjoy paddling in canoes or sit-on-top kayaks, with your pets welcome as long as they have their own lifejackets. Create unforgettable memories on the water in this stunning natural setting.

##More info We offer half day (3 hour) and full day (6 hours, morning start only) rentals directly adjacent to the lake for convenience. Rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Overnight Rentals: Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer overnight rentals, but hope to offer this opportunity in the future.
The Fine Print: Participants 19 and younger require a parent/guardian signature to rent.
All paddlers are required to sign a Rental Agreement, Assumption of Risks and Waiver of Liability document prior to renting.
Pets: Pets are allowed in canoes and on sit on top kayaks but must have their own lifejacket. At this time we do not offer pet lifejacket rentals, so you will need to come prepared with your own.
Pets are welcome on board but must have their own properly fitted lifejacket; rentals are not provided, so bring yours.
Full-day rentals begin in the morning to ensure you have maximum daylight on the water.
Strong winds can pick up unexpectedly on Buttle Lake; monitor local forecasts before heading out.
Equipment is rented on a first-come, first-served basis—plan to arrive early during peak season to guarantee availability.
Strathcona Provincial Park, home to Buttle Lake, was established in 1911 as British Columbia’s first provincial park, preserving its diverse mountain and aquatic ecosystems.
Visitors are encouraged to practice Leave No Trace principles to maintain Buttle Lake’s pristine waters and protect its sensitive shoreline habitats.
