About

Camp Epic is a private fully-serviced campground located at Piropiro in Pureora Forest Park. Camp Epic has been designed to enable you to experience the beauty of the surrounding native forest and all it has to offer. Sleep comfortably in our large canvas tents, waking up to a variety of bird song. Cook a meal in our camp kitchen or over the camp fire. Relax and socialize under the uninterrupted starry sky with a drink or toasting marshmallows. Refresh in our hot showers looking out at the stunning native forest. Camp Epic is a comfortable camping destination for those who love the outdoors.


Facilities

  • Sleep in twin-room canvas tents with all bedding & towels supplied. (Or in our new family tents with a queen + 2 singles)
  • Shared kitchen/dining space fully equipped with all cutlery, crockery & utensils
  • Cooking utilities with gas cooktops, bbq, small woodfired oven & fridge.
  • Basic condiments and breakfast included e.g. tea, instant coffee, uhf milk, cereals (GF available), bread, eggs, oil, etc.
  • A sleek ablutions block with flushing toilets & hot showers

What to Bring

Camp Epic is self-catered so you'll need to bring your own food & drinks with you. Breakfast is included that you can help yourself to. We occasionally stock heat & eat meals that can be purchased on-site. If staying in our canvas tents, all your bedding and towels are provided. Just bring toiletries. If staying on a tent site you'll need your own tent, bed, bedding, towel, etc. Bring warm gear for the evening as it can get very cold at night all year round.

Temperatures can drop significantly at night year-round, so pack warm clothing for comfort around camp.

Self-cater with basics

Camp Epic includes breakfast staples, but guests should bring most food and drinks for the day’s meals.
