Buckskin Gulch goes on for miles!

Duration

7 to 8 Hours

About

One of the longest and deepest slot canyons on the planet, Buckskin Gulch goes on for miles and rarely gets wider than 20 feet. Temperatures within the canyon are much cooler than the surrounding sunny red rocks. You can often encounter puddles of water you’ll need to wade through.

We are happy to pick you up wherever you are staying if it is local to Kanab. You will specify your pickup location when you book. If you are driving in for the day, then we will meet you at the Coral Cliffs Tours office in Kanab (address will be given to you).

Adventure Tips

Bring Plenty of Water

The desert heat and dry conditions mean dehydration is a real risk; carry at least 2 liters per person.

Wear Sturdy Footwear

Expect uneven sandstone surfaces and loose rocks, so hiking boots with good traction are necessary.

Start Early in the Day

To avoid peak heat and crowds, begin your hike early, preferably before 9 a.m.

Check Weather Before You Go

Flash floods can happen quickly; verifying weather conditions is crucial for safe canyon travel.
