Sunset Trails Stables invites young riders ages 4-5 to advance their skills with focused horsemanship lessons every Sunday. This program blends horse care, safety, and riding fundamentals in a nurturing setting near Lee’s Summit.

Join this engaging riding class designed for Texas Tots graduates! Students will learn essential grooming and tacking skills while mastering English or western riding techniques. With a focus on safety and group learning, this unique experience fosters camaraderie and confidence in young riders. Enjoy six exciting lessons every Sunday afternoon!
This class is designed for students who have taken Texas Tots. Students will groom and tack a horse in groups and will learn English or western riding technique while on the horse and by observing classmates. Safety is a first priority. Students need to wear long pants and hard-soled shoes. A riding helmet is mandatory and will be provided. Sunset Trails needs to have a permission/release form on file for each riding student.
Six 45-minute lessons Sundays: 1:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Long pants and hard-soled shoes are required to ensure safety and comfort while riding and handling horses.
Sunset Trails supplies helmets for all riders, so no need to bring your own—but gear must be worn at all times during lessons.
Arriving 10-15 minutes before class start time helps prepare horses and ensures a smooth check-in process.
Parents must complete a release form before their child can participate in the classes for liability and safety reasons.
