About This Adventure

Explore the stunning mountain trails of Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks, where snow lingers until late June. Ensure your comfort and safety with our waterproof boot rentals, designed for traction on slippery paths. Experience the beauty of nature while staying warm and protected on your unforgettable adventure!

Did you know snow is present on our mountain trails until the end of June?

If you are traveling on any of the following tours, warm, sturdy and waterproof boots are required for your safety and comfort.

  • Mount Rainier National Park from late October through late May.
  • Olympic National Park from November - May
  • Leavenworth tours from November - March

Even in June, Mount Rainier will still be snow covered. The temperatures are warm enough that non-waterproof shoes are not a temperature safety concern, but the trails will likely be slippery and your feet may get wet in sneakers.

If you don't have boots or simply just don't want to pack bulky shoes on your trip to Seattle, we offer boot rentals for your tour day.

Waterproof hiking boots are available to our guests to keep you warm, protected and provide good traction across muddy and snowy trails.

Specific sizing is available with advance registration. Please select the appropriate size during the check out process to reserve them for your tour date.

For questions, feel free to reach out to our team.

We look forward to adventuring with you!

Adventure Tips

Wear your rental boots before heading out

Take some time to break in your rental boots with short walks to avoid blisters during longer hikes.

Watch for slippery wet rocks and snow patches

Our boots have traction, but proceed with caution around icy or wet areas to prevent falls.

Bring microfiber socks for quick drying

Moisture-wicking socks enhance comfort during long days on damp trails and with rental boots.

Return boots promptly to ensure availability

Boot rentals are popular in spring and early summer, so timely returns help maintain our supply for everyone.
