AN EXPERIENCE UNLIKE ANY OTHER, A LOCATION THAT WILL LEAVE YOU BREATHLESS; One of our very favorite things is watching your expression and reaction when you first see the boneyard beach. Some guests have described it as "another planet", "the most amazing place they've ever been to", or the experience as "exhilarating". If you're up for an adventure and you want a story to share with those at home, this is the perfect trip for you.
A Boneyard Beach occures when ocean errosion encroaches on maritime forest, and salt water causes the trees to decay, leaving "bones" of the trees scattered over the beach. When the sun rises over the Atlantic and kisses the falled trees, it's simply magical.
For this adventure, you'll encounter gravel and dirt causeways, along with sand and crushed shells on the beach.
As an added bonus, all guests will receive a code for 1 FREE month in the online mentorship program, SHARPEN YOUR SHUTTER!
Low light conditions during sunset require a tripod to avoid camera shake and get sharp photos.
The beach terrain is uneven and filled with roots and driftwood, so comfortable, supportive footwear is important.
Use lens covers and keep your camera in a protective bag when not shooting to prevent damage.
Give yourself plenty of time before sunset to scout spots and prepare your equipment.
Boneyard Beach's driftwood oaks are remnants of a once forested coastal region slowly reclaimed by rising sea levels over centuries.
Efforts are in place to minimize human impact; visitors are encouraged to stay on paths and avoid disturbing natural wildlife habitats.
