After collection from your hotel, together with your Blue Mountains Tours Personal Tour Guide, we will follow the footsteps of the first explorers as we leave Sydney. You'll travel in one of our new, state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz buses include USB sockets for all type of mobile phone or tablets and head west.
After driving for an hour, we will cross the famous Nepean River Penrith valley where the Fragrance and Aroma’s coffee welcomes us for our relaxing Morning Tea. The Café is located in the heart of Glenbrook Village, the Lower Blue Mountains at the entrance to the Glenbrook National Park. The café is very much an integral part of the village culture and provides the locals with great coffee, delicious homemade fresh biscuits, jam & cream.
From there, we begin the scenic drive to the top of the 1,100 meters to the Cliff Drive Rd including a panoramic drive through the mountains with breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains National Park. This will be the first of many excellent photo opportunities you’ll have during the day to capture the wonders that make up our Blue Mountains One Day Discovery Tour. Catch your breath as we transport you from a cable car* to ride the world’s steepest passenger railway line*, at Scenic World. After the 270 meter ascent, you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Katoomba Falls as well as the famous Three Sisters rock formation. Wander through an ancient rainforest on the Scenic Walkway, an elevated boardwalk which offers 160 million years’ worth of natural history.
We will continue a short drive to the famous Echo point lookout, watch as the rock formation gets closer, and then visit the Waradah Aboriginal Culture House. This attraction allows visitors to meet local aborigines who will share intimate details about their culture as well as stories that have been passed down for thousands of years.
We don’t want to share too much information about the next stop on our Blue Mountains Tours day trip. This is a secret location that we discovered through our travels which has remained unspoiled by tourists. Take a quick walk along less travelled roads to see some lush bush land whilst acquainting yourself with the region’s flora and fauna. Be amazed by the 200 meter view from the top of a cliff. Words cannot do justice to the magnificence of the scenery which you need to experience for yourself!
Hungry!? Take a welcome break at our next stop, have a relaxing hot meal, variety of western dishes - 2 courses of your choice.
Next stop, Featherdale Wildlife Park is home of Australia’s indigenous species. Feel free to pet a koala, hand feed a kangaroo or just be one at nature with the wallabies, dingoes, vibrantly coloured birds and many other playful critters.
As we near the final leg of your Blue Mountains One Day Discovery Tour, our return trip includes a drive to Sydney Olympic Park, host to many national and international events, sports competitions and concerts.
