Join us on the Bent Hill Brewery Tour!
Bent Hill is tucked in the hills of Braintree, Vermont, where they pair delightful beers with a “refreshing and uniquely meatless food menu”. Everything about Bent Hill’s small batch beer, creative food, and beautiful location in the middle of a huge hill, even for Vermont standards, is one-of-a-kind. We’ll meet you at the brewery at the beginning of your tour and you’ll discover the magic of Bent Hill when you return after your ride.
Leaving the brewery, your pedaling is amplified by your eBike’s motor. This boost is perfectly timed because the first mile on your tour takes you steeply up to the top of Bent Hill road. You're immediately rewarded with 2 miles of the finest cycling in Vermont. Take your time and enjoy the views along the ridge before making the fun descent into the White River Valley towards Randolph, Vermont.
The first tour stop is at Poulin & Daughters Family Farm (Mile 6), where you can treat yourself to a Vermont Maple Creemee. The Poulin family makes maple syrup and raises cattle for beef. They welcome visitors to shop in the farm store and make friends with the farm’s herd of about 70 cattle.
As you put the cows in the rear view, there is only 1.5 miles of riding before you arrive in Randolph. En route to town, you’ll cross the White River on an adorable pedestrian bridge. Feel free to park your bikes and take a dip in the river!
In town you'll visit Chef’s Market (Mile 7). With their delicious sandwich menu and a market stocked full of local goodies, there is nothing missing from Chef's Market! It is housed in the historic Randolph Railroad Depot, which makes for a great gathering spot in the middle of town. Grab a sandwich and soak up the sun at the picnic tables outside!
Having sampled some of Randolph’s best businesses, it is time to get back to riding the gravel. Over the next 11.5 miles you’ll climb about 800 feet in elevation, lose it all as you head back down to the White River, and then climb the final 400 feet back up to the brewery. You’ll certainly earn your beer on the Bent Hill Tour!
