##About Make a paperweight with our master glassblowers from start to finish, under their skilled eye. This takes place in our glassblowing studio in the artisan quarter of Bath. 10 mins from the city centre. Choose your colours, create a design, learn techniques of glassblowing to enable you to sculpt your own piece. Your paperweight needs to be annealed (cooled down slowly) in our lehr (cooling oven) because if not the glass cracks. You can add postage or collect them the next working day.
Please wear cool cotton clothing, layers are best as it gets quite hot working in front of the furnace, sturdy footwear is essential [ no open toes or flip flops ] Three quarter length trousers are fine to be worn, shorts above the knee are not permitted. Long hair must be tied back.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to you start time. We advise customer to allow plenty of time for parking etc.
Drinking water is available please bring a refillable bottle
Arrive at least 15 minutes early to settle in and choose your colors comfortably.
Dress in clothes that can get a bit smoky or stained—things might get hot!
Take advantage of the expert guidance and ask questions about glass techniques.
