Duration

8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions

About

Skaters may start off using a Penguin to help them maintain a stable position on the ice but once they have been introduced to the correct way to fall and stand up on the ice, coaches will encourage skaters to find their own balance and start moving across the ice independently.

We provide plenty of coaches to support all skaters and would prefer parents/guardians to support from the sidelines.

What to bring

Our rinks maintain an air temperature around 10C or less, so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.

Adventure Tips

Dress in Warm Layers

The rink temperature hovers around 10°C, so dressing in insulated, moisture-wicking layers helps keep skaters comfortable.

Wear a Helmet

For safety, young skaters should wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey, or ski helmet throughout lessons.

Arrive Early to Prepare

Arrive 10 minutes early to check in, get skates fitted, and warm up before the lesson starts.

Bring Long Socks

Long socks protect against skate abrasions and help maintain warmth inside the skates.
