What You’ll Experience
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup at your hotel, the airport, or another location of your choice in Anchorage. We provide an Anchorage City tour, highlighting Earthquake Park and Lake Hood. From there, we’ll head south on the scenic Seward Highway, one of the most stunning drives in North America, with frequent photo stops along the way.
Our first major stop is Beluga Point, where dramatic cliffs meet the water and where Dall sheep or beluga whales might make an appearance. It’s the perfect way to ease into the beauty of the journey ahead.
Next, we travel into Portage Valley, where glacier-fed lakes and waterfalls surround us. You’ll take a peaceful, guided walk to Byron Glacier, an easy 20-25 minute trail along glacial meltwater with views of icefields tucked into the mountains. We’ll also stop at the Portage Glacier Lodge — a great place for photos, restrooms, and snacks.
Then it’s off to the incredible Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a 250-acre refuge where you’ll see rescued moose, bears, bison, wolves, and more — up close and in a natural setting. This is often a highlight of the day for both first-time visitors and locals alike.
We'll continue along the coastline, making a stop in Girdwood, a charming alpine town tucked into the Chugach Mountains. You can enjoy lunch at a local café
From there, it’s a smooth and scenic final stretch into Seward, where we’ll drop you directly at your cruise ship or accommodations, with plenty of time and no stress.
