Flowing downstream from the world famous Russian River, the Kenai enters the Wildlife Refuge, winding through islands, gravel bars and back channels. This beautiful section of the Kenai is drift-only. The Refuge is the favorite place to fish amongst Cooper Landing locals.
Weather can be unpredictable, so waterproof clothing and boots will keep you comfortable on and off the water.
Help protect fish populations by releasing larger specimens back to the river whenever possible.
Mosquitoes and biting flies can be plentiful near the riverbanks, especially in summer months.
Be aware of season dates and allowed catch limits to ensure compliance with local fishing laws.
