About

"Akialoa" is one of two 3 cabin yachts in our fleet. Located in the beautiful Apostle Islands on majestic Lake Superior, you're sure to have a great time on this wonderful boat. The Dufour 37 won "Boat of the Year Award" from Cruising World for its layout and cruising comfort. It features a  masthead sloop rig, fin keel, spade rudder, with double B&R style spreaders. All halyards, sheets, and traveler controls are led back to the spacious cockpit for easy single-handed sailing. Self-tailing primary winches make sail adjustment easy and the electric winch makes anchoring easy. The wing keel offers outstanding windward performance in any condition.

It can sleep six in comfort; two in each of the aft cabins, two in the V berth. The settee can be converted for additional sleeping space. The large main saloon offers 6' headroom all the way up through the head and into the forward cabin. This is an ideal boat for a three couples or a family. The main cabin features a convertible dinette to starboard and a settee to port. The aft cabins features a double berths that are almost the size of a queen bed as well as a hanging locker and additional storage. The galley is large and L shaped, offering extensive preparation space. Akialoa features a composting head so no pump out is required.
