Description

Enjoy an incredible trip visiting the Aguacero Waterfall and La Venta River Canyon, admire the incredible views of this canyon and enjoy nature in one of the most impressive reserves in Mexico and Chiapas, "Ocote Biosphere Reserve". The adventure begins in the morning towards the Aguacero waterfall, 75 m high, formed by the La Venta river. To admire the waterfall it is necessary to descend a long series of steps around 750 - 900 steps to appreciate the waterfall. You will have the opportunity to walk under the waterfall and along the river. This community destination is located in the El Ocote Forest Biosphere Reserve and the Ecotourism Center is managed by a Tzeltal indigenous community that offers different types of service such as a local meal and adventure activities around the place such as hiking, trekking among others. . Once there you can walk to observe the abundant flora and fauna around the place from a spectacular viewpoint where you can admire the beginning of the La Venta river canyon. Enjoy the contact of nature and discover this natural wonder full of adventure and beauty.

Recommendations

  • Moderate physical condition is required. Not recommended for people of the third age over 60 years, pregnant women and children under 7 years.
