Our 7 day and 6 night Iconic Yosemite Backpacking Adventure IS THE BEST WAY to experience Yosemite’s most iconic landmarks without traffic jams and long lines! We’ll hike 50 miles along Yosemite Valley’s northern rim over Yosemite Falls and North Dome, up into Yosemite’s high country for a day swimming and relaxing at Tenaya Lake, and then up the summits of Clouds Rest and Half Dome before heading into Yosemite Valley via the famed Mist Trail along Vernal and Nevada Falls.
Day 1 | 7.5 miles Meet your guide after breakfast around 9 AM at a convenient prearranged meet up location to pack gear and talk safety. We'll immediately head into the high country of Yosemite National Park and begin our our incredible week with a quiet warm up hike through lush pine forests and along Yosemite Creek before coming to rest near the rim of Yosemite Valley for an incredible gourmet camp dinner at sunset.
Day 2 | 7.5 miles | Moderately Strenuous Elevation Gail and Loss We'll wake with the sun and enjoy coffee and a hearty mountain breakfast before heading out to Eagle Peak Summit on the iconic Three Brothers. We’ll stay near the Valley rim as we head over to Yosemite Falls - the fifth tallest waterfall in the world, and then into camp and enjoying dinner near North Dome. Includes hearty mountain breakfast, hot trail lunch, and classic trail dinner!
Day 3 | 9 miles | Moderate Elevation Gain Another amazing morning along the rim of Yosemite Valley begins with a breakfast summit of North Dome and incredible views of the iconic Half Dome before coming to rest at the base of Mt Watkins for the evening. Includes hearty mountain breakfast, hot trail lunch, and classic trail dinner!
Day 4 | 7 miles | Moderate Elevation Gain After a deep and restful night under the Sierra stars we will enjoy breakfast before a uphill walk through glaciated high country trails before arriving at Tenaya Lake for an afternoon of swimming, relaxing and a BBQ steak dinner! Includes hearty mountain breakfast, hot trail lunch, and BBQ dinner!
Day 5 | 10 miles | Moderate Elevation Gain Our fifth day begins with a power breakfast and lots of caffine as we take on the incredible 9926 foot summit of Clouds Rest before coming to rest along the John Muir Trail at Sunrise Creek. Includes hearty mountain breakfast, hot trail lunch, and classic trail dinner!
Day 6 | 5 miles | Strenuous Elevation Gain This is the day you have dreamt of your whole life, the day that all backpacking trips strive to be! It begins with a hearty trail breakfast and a summit hike to the Half Dome! We’ll enjoy as much time as you like before return to our camp at Sunrise creek for the evening. Includes hearty mountain breakfast, hot trail lunch, and classic trail dinner!
Day 7 | 7 Miles | Strenuous Elevation Loss Our last day includes the famed Little Yosemite Valley and and iconic Mist Trail with Vernal and Nevada Falls as we descend into Yosemite Valley with Merced River. We’ll enjoy the slow descent and walk right into Curry Village and Half Dome Pizza Deck for a well deserved pint and as much pizza as you can eat!
