About

Two people share a sled; one drives, and one sits on the sled. During the half point, the seats will be switched, so that everyone gets to drive the sled.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our personnel who leads you to the kennel to meet the dogs. We then make sure everyone is dressed up warmly, and if needed, provide you with extra clothing (overalls, boots, hats, and mittens). Your personal guide will then give you a short driving lesson on how to control the sled and sooner than you notice, you are already on the go. The guide will lead you through a beautiful forest and a small lake, making a few stops on the way so that you can take pictures. At the halfway point of the trip, based on the type of the safari, there is a chance to do either ice fishing or walk with snowshoes. After the activity, the guide will lead you into a Lappish style hut where traditional Finnish lunch is served on an open fire. While enjoying the lunch and the warmth of the bonfire, the guide will tell you stories about the sled dogs as well as answer any of your questions. After the lunch, the tour continues through beautiful scenery back to the kennel. Before leaving, there is a chance to take the last pictures and give out the last hugs for the dogs, after which your taxi will take you back to your hotel.

The kennel owners and the guides are all passionate mushers who have dedicated their lives to the sport and the dogs. There are approximately 100 Alaskan Huskies living on the kennel and the dog pack consists all the way from puppies to elite racing dogs and retired oldies.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult!
