Experience an unforgettable adventure as you share a sled with huskies, driving through serene forests and around a picturesque lake. Enjoy a traditional Finnish lunch by a cozy bonfire, enriched with captivating stories from passionate mushers. This unique journey offers a perfect blend of excitement, nature, and heartwarming moments with the dogs.
Two people share a sled; one drives, and one sits on the sled. During the half point, the seats will be switched, so that everyone gets to drive the sled.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our personnel who leads you to the kennel to meet the dogs. Your guide makes sure everyone is dressed up warmly and will then give you a short driving lesson on how to control the sled and sooner than you notice, you are already on the go. The guide will lead you deep into the peaceful forest and around a small lake, making a few stops on the way so that you can take pictures. At the halfway, your guide will serve you traditional Finnish lunch on an open fire in a Finnish style hut. While enjoying the lunch and the warmth of the bonfire, the guide will tell you stories about the sled dogs as well as answer any of your questions. After the lunch, the tour continues through beautiful scenery back to the kennel. Before leaving, there is a chance to take the last pictures and give out the last hugs for the dogs, after which your taxi will take you back to your hotel.
The kennel owners and the guides are all passionate mushers who have dedicated their lives to the sport and the dogs. There are approximately 100 Alaskan Huskies living on the kennel and the dog pack consists all the way from puppies to elite racing dogs and retired oldies.
