5 Days
Pittwater Eco Adventures run this trip four times per year. All of our programs have a strong Environment Conservation focus, underpinned by our two campaign chapters “Reshaping Waste” (based in Manly and Belrose) and “Caring for Country” (based in Pittwater).
Elements included in the Reshaping Waste program are ocean and beach cleanup, plastic recycling, eco- kayak and SUP tours and indigenous education provided by an aboriginal-owned partner company.
This is an open trip with limited spaces available, so get in quick. All dinners are included in the cost.
Starting Details: Please meet outside the Manly Art Gallery (near the old aquarium site) at 8:30am.
Important note regarding meals: Dinners are provided each day but please bring breakfasts, lunches and all the snacks you need for the week. We have basics such as salt and pepper, tea and coffee, and milk for hot drinks (including soy and almond). Please bring your own milk for breakfast if required.
Dinners are provided, but bring your own breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for sustained energy during activities.
Expect a mix of bushwalks and beach activities—closed-toe shoes with good grip are recommended.
Hydration is key during paddling and outdoor workshops; tap water is readily available for refills.
Apply sunscreen daily and consider a wide-brimmed hat and UV-protective clothing for waterfront sessions.
Lavender Bay and nearby Manly hold strong ties to the Guringai people, the traditional custodians of this coastal region for thousands of years.
The local campaigns ‘Reshaping Waste’ and ‘Caring for Country’ focus on reducing plastic pollution and restoring native habitats through youth-led initiatives.
Necessary for bushwalks and uneven coastal terrain.
Stay hydrated during outdoor activities.
Protect yourself from intense sun during paddling and beach work.
