After putting in long hours during the growing season here at the ranch, the winter is our playtime.
Join us on a family-friendly snowmobile tour just outside of Steamboat Springs, CO. Take a cruise on our 2-Seater Ski-Doo's through our endless groomed trails around our beautiful bison ranch. Pass over our snow-covered hay meadows and climb 700' in elevation up to the great panoramic views of Routt County while winding through the creek bed and exploring the historic coal strip mine and beautiful aspen groves. Learn a bit about Routt Counties' history & heritage. Our trails and snowmobiles cater to all experience levels.
Your Complimentary Shuttle will pick you up about 1.5 hours before the tour. If you opt to drive, please plan on arriving no later than 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. (If you are late, you may have to wait until the next tour time if space is available.) Check-In at our registration cabin next to the barn and fill up your coffee or hot chocolate. Get equipped with your safety gear. Helmets, Goggles, and Boots provided. Your guide will go over a short intro and safety briefing about snowmobiling. Then embark on your journey and play in the snow.
Tour Length: 2 Hours - Plan on spending 2.5 hours with us at the ranch.
Tours will run snow or shine! Severe weather can cause us to cancel a tour. If this happens you will receive a full refund.

Requirements
All drivers must present a valid driver’s license at check-in (mandatory for all drivers).
Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license. All drivers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.
Must be 5 years old to be a passenger.
Experience is not necessary. Instructions, safety brief, and equipment orientation will be provided before the tour begins
Children as young as 5 years old may ride as a passenger with a responsible adult or with a guide (based on availability).
Be sure your clothing and personal items will withstand the cold, snow, wet, and bouncing around!
We will not be responsible for your personal property.
Winter boots are required! For your safety and warmth.
Rental clothing (rental jacket, pants, boots, and gloves are available) LIMITED SUPPLY.
Pregnant women, anyone with heart, neck, or back problems, or recent joint replacement surgeries are advised to seek approval from their physician before they participate.
Recommended weight per vehicle not to exceed 350 lbs.
Driver is 100% responsible for vehicular damage other than wear & tear. We do offer a $25 insurance policy that would require a maximum of $1000 deductible if damage occurs. MSRP of Snowmobile: $9,749

NO SMOKING at any time throughout the entire tour or on Lucky 8 Ranch property.
Review and understand the operations of the vehicle. Ask Questions!
Wear protective clothing, no sandals, or open-toed shoes.
Helmets and eye protection is mandatory while on a vehicle.
Follow the trail and maintain a "safe" distance from the vehicle in front of you.
NO PASSING, NO LAGGING BEHIND, NO SLING SHOOTING, NO DONUTS, NO DRIVING OFF-TRAIL. (We have designated off-trail areas for you to get into the deeper snow)
Slow is always better & safer.
Watch out for bison & wildlife. DO NOT APPROACH or ANTAGONIZE.
If you have vehicle trouble, stop and turn off your engine. DO NOT GET OFF OF THE VEHICLE.
If you get stuck in the snow, stop and turn off your engine. Step off on your vehicle and put your hands up in the air and make an X. This will signal the guide that you are stuck and need assistance.
If you get separated from the group. Stop and Wait! DO NOT COME to LOOK FOR US! We WILL find you.
This is a guided tour, not a thrill ride.
This tour is considered a high adventure tour. Unless these rules are followed there is a possibility of personal injury or flipping a vehicle.
Be conscientious of others on the tour, as everyone has a different riding ability.
Go slow, be safe, and watch out for each other.
