Paris Mountain Country Club

Greenville, South Carolina, USAUpstate South Carolina

Paris Mountain Country Club presents a dynamic 18-hole course where rolling terrain and fast greens demand strategic shot-making. Set in Greenville, South Carolina, this semi-private course blends natural elevation changes with approachable yet challenging golf framed by a welcoming clubhouse and attentive service.

Course Overview

Paris Mountain Country Club offers an engaging 18-hole layout that challenges golfers amid the natural undulations of Greenville, South Carolina's terrain. Classified as a semi-private course, it balances a scenic mountain setting with practical playability designed for a broad spectrum of players. The course courses through rolling hills where elevation changes come into play, demanding thoughtful club selection and careful shot execution, especially on uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies that shape much of the experience.

The style leans toward a parkland feel, with mature trees framing fairways and compact, fast-running greens that test precision around the greens. While some fairways feature areas of dormant grass, the overall conditioning remains solid, with well-maintained greens that reward approach shots carrying the right distance and trajectory. Golfers should prepare for quick green speeds, as subtle breaks on these small putting surfaces require attentive reading and steady putting strokes.

Golf carts equipped with GPS add a helpful layer of strategy, offering yardages and adjusted shot distances that account for elevation shifts. For players who prefer a more classic pace, walking is feasible given the course’s manageable length and terrain, though sturdy footwear is advisable due to slopes and occasional uneven lies.

Amenities extend beyond the fairways with a welcoming clubhouse featuring a grill where players can enjoy a variety of menu options after their round. The staff consistently receives praise for their hospitality and helpfulness, enhancing the overall visit with attentive service from the pro shop to dining.

Golfers seeking variety will appreciate the mix of holes requiring both tactical tee shots and creative approaches. Some holes demand accuracy off the tee to navigate well-positioned bunkers and natural features, while others provide the breathing room for longer, more aggressive drives. Whether tackling a twilight round or a full day, Paris Mountain delivers a golf experience shaped by its location’s natural slopes and friendly atmosphere. Planning ahead for water and hydration is wise, especially during warmer months, as water stations on the course may be limited.

Overall, Paris Mountain Country Club invites golfers to engage with a course that rewards thoughtful play and provides a scenic, enjoyable test of golf beyond the usual flat layouts of the region.

Course Highlights

Paris Mountain Country Club stands out with its undulating terrain that influences every aspect of play, including small, fast greens known for their subtle breaks. The course’s elevation changes create compelling shot challenges, notably on holes that feature uphill and sidehill lies. GPS-equipped carts provide valuable distance and play metrics, aiding in strategy across this parkland-style layout. The friendly, attentive staff and a well-stocked grill add comfort and character to the golfing experience.

I am fairly new to Golf but decided to stop by the driving range here on my roadtrip back home. The staff was super friendly here and made me feel right at home. This also is a beautiful location! Judy in the Pro Shop answered all my questions and was super helpful. The food is excellent and Crystal cooked my food to perfection. Definitely recommend the tenders. I really enjoyed my brief time here and will definitely be returning when traveling through the area. Wish more courses were like this!

The staff is what gained this place 3 stars. Everyone who works there are top notch quality people. Nice and professional. The greens were so ridiculously fast you couldn't get a ball to stop on the green whether you hit a flop shot into the green or were putting. The greens rolled smooth though. Cons.....there is absolutely no grass in the fairways....literally 80% of the fairways were hard pan dirt with little to no grass. Some of the roughest cart paths I've ever experienced. And the tee boxes were seldomly flat....and the tees on the par 3s...had no grass whatsoever. I understand the grass is dormant but charging $43 during the week is not worth the price esp a "winter" rate. I'd never spend the $57 they want on a weekend. Pros to this place....the staff. The layout of the course was incredibly fun...definitely a challenge. Would I drive the 2 hrs back again....maybe....but only if they have grass in the fairways and on the tee boxes. You definitely wouldn't find the place if it wasn't for Google maps.

Paris Mountain Country Club is fun but challenging. The course is very fair in terms of length off the tee; the challenge is that the greens are small and run fast. And on some holes the hills create a challenge with uphill/downhill/side hill lies. The condition of the course was excellent! Greens in great shape, fairways were green, rough was fair/not too punishing, and the sand was quite fluffy (which surprised me because many Greenville courses have very hard packed sand). Also, the carts are nice because they have a very good GPS system. It actually tells you not just distance but how long the shot plays (e.g. yards 120 but plays 140). The staff is very welcoming (it was my first time at the course and Judy in the pro shop took the time to take me on the balcony to show me where the 1st and 11th holes were located). The course also has a very nice grill with lots of options and the staff was again very welcoming! The practice putting green is small but you get an idea of the slopes you will face on the greens on course. They do have a driving range but I did not use it so can't speak to it's condition. Overall, I will play again but maybe when it's not 97 degrees and humid. Actually the only thing my friends noted was that they did not see any water jugs on the course so make sure to bring water or stop in the grill before to get drinks and food for the course. :-)

Really enjoyed a twilight round here at a great cost for 9/18 holes. Carts have brand new GPS that looks incredible! Very fun course that demands tee shots to be in play on about half the holes and the rest is pretty open! Very good greens and very scenic. Check it out!

Alright, listen up, troops, because it's time for a little expedition to a place where the grass is green and the swings are... well, sometimes mine are! We’re heading to the magnificent Paris Mountain Country Club right here in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina. And let me tell you, this place is so good, it really greens the day! From the moment we pulled into the parking lot – which, by the way, was smoother than my short game on a good day – I knew this club was going to be a hole-in-one experience. The staff greeted me with smiles wider than a fairway, making me feel like a true golf pro, even if my scorecard says otherwise. They certainly know how to drive home the hospitality! First off, let’s talk about the top-tier service of their Golf Course. My goodness, it’s a fairway to heaven! Each hole is meticulously maintained, making you feel like you’re playing on a velvet carpet. The greens are so pristine, you could almost eat off them – though I prefer to just try and putt on them! Even my slices looked good against such a beautiful backdrop. They truly make every swing feel par-fect! Next, we absolutely have to talk about their Dining and Clubhouse facilities. This isn't just any old 19th hole, folks; it’s a culinary fore-cast of deliciousness! After a long day of chasing that little white ball, the food here really hit the spot. I had a burger so good, it almost made me forget my triple bogey on the 7th. The atmosphere is as welcoming as a warm hug from your favorite recliner, and the drinks are colder than my wife’s response when I ask about a new golf club. It's truly a clubhouse that scores big! And finally, the third gem: the overall ambiance and breathtaking views. Oh, the views! From almost every angle, you get a panorama that makes you say, "Wow, this is truly a course for sore eyes!" It's so serene and picturesque, it makes you want to just sit back, relax, and maybe even take a swing at sketching the scenery. Whether you're teeing off or just enjoying a meal on the patio, the setting truly elevates the experience. It’s not just a country club, it’s a vista-rious victory for your senses! So, if you’re looking for a top-notch golf experience, amazing food, and views that make your jaw drop faster than my drive into the water hazard, then Paris Mountain Country Club is your next destination. It’s a place that’s truly above par in every way! I’d give it a resounding five out of five stars! Don't fore-get to check it out!
