Course Overview

Located just off Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Rolling Greens Golf Course offers a refreshing take on the classic 9-hole layout characterized by its engaging topography and friendly atmosphere. This public course presents a rolling terrain that challenges players with well-defined crests and banked fairway edges, setting the stage for thoughtful shot-making rather than brute force. The mature trees lining the fairways strike a balance — offering refuge on some holes and tough recovery tests on others — making accuracy a valuable asset here.

The course’s greens are known for their speed and firmness, demanding a steady touch on putting strokes. Despite the course’s modest length, it offers a rewarding experience for golfers seeking a quick round with both strategic elements and walkability. The rough, thicker and less forgiving than might be expected of a 9-hole track, encourages precision off the tee and often influences club selection.

Beginners will appreciate the approachable layout that still provides learning opportunities, while more experienced golfers can find subtle challenges that keep each round interesting. The course's natural elevation changes add a dynamic rhythm to play, occasionally revealing broader views over the woodlands that frame the property.

The clubhouse maintains a relaxed, welcoming vibe that complements the ease of play on the course. Staff are noted for their friendliness and readiness to accommodate visitors, making this a favorable destination for locals and travelers looking to combine casual play with scenic Rhode Island golf. Its warm and unpretentious environment extends into the adjacent bar and dining facilities, known for casual fare and a social atmosphere where regulars gather.

If your neighborhood pub had a golf course attached this is what it would be. Very laid back and the bar maid seems to know everyone by first name. Good bar food and a welcoming place. As for the course, with all the rain it was very lush and the topography was interesting. A great place for a quick nine.

Played here 25yrs ago and hardly could recognize how beautiful this course is and how it plays. I walked on twice with no tee time (yesterday/today), greeted with welcoming staff and laid back atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for more. If ya never played here, here’s a quick rundown: The track has over crests, banked fairway sides, trees (somehow forgiving and also cruel) where you can find your ball. Rough is no joke, and greens are fast. Overall this place is solid!

Went here with my buddy and our wives at 1 o’clock in may(slow season). 8 cars in the parking lot. My buddy and myself have golfed many times and understand pace of play. On hole 5 of a really bad course(condition and difficulty level) the manager rode out to us and told us we are slowing things down. Disgusted at his actions we picked up and moved to the next hole. We will never be back.
