Course Overview

Stone Ridge Golf Club presents an 18-hole challenge that weaves through the natural contours of Oregon’s rugged hill country. Located in Eagle Point, this public course showcases a parkland-style layout that encourages strategic play amid a setting rich with local wildlife. From the moment players step onto the elevated tees, they encounter a course that commands attention without overwhelming. The fairways curve gently through stands of native trees and brush, requiring thoughtful shot placement and offering a rewarding variety of angles into the greens.

Golfers of all skill levels will find Stone Ridge approachable yet engaging. The course length and design avoid extremes, making it practical for mid-handicappers while still demanding precision from better players. The poa-anna greens are known for their true roll, adding a subtle complexity to putting that rewards careful reading. Several holes feature elevation changes that influence club selection and shot strategy, while water hazards and natural ponds introduce intermittent risk and visual interest.

Stone Ridge's setting emphasizes its quiet character, with few homes interrupting its natural rhythm. This sense of solitude is heightened by frequent sightings of deer, hawks, and even bald eagles soaring overhead, offering moments of peaceful reflection between shots. Walking is encouraged to fully absorb the terrain’s nuances, though golf carts are available for players preferring to conserve energy.

The clubhouse serves as a welcoming hub where golfers can gather after rounds, enjoying friendly service and a casual atmosphere. While conditions vary with Oregon’s seasons, the course maintains playability year-round, with some wetter spots in winter calling for sturdy footwear.

For players seeking a course that rewards patience and course management without demanding extreme length, Stone Ridge Golf Club provides an authentic Oregon golf experience. Its blend of natural beauty, wildlife encounters, and thoughtfully crafted holes delivers a day on the links marked by both challenge and enjoyment.

My wife Shannon and I played here last week. What a wonderful course. It's designed around the natural hills and draws of the area adding interesting play, certainly not a simple back and forth course. We saw deer and a Bald Eagle on course. Friendly staff too. Note: we walked enjoyed walking it, but some folks may want to opt for a cart.

Played it today. Walked it in the mud. It's oregon what do you want. I was impressed with the greens considering it's January. Many interesting holes. All I will say is have your big kids pants on if you walk. The first two in the mud were tough lol. But it leveled out. Over all the views, course, staff were great

This is an excellent track with beautiful views teaming with wildlife. It's also in a quiet area not lined with houses; this is how golf should be played. It would be 5 stars but next to some of the greens it's a little scrubby from water sitting there. They should just make them grass bunkers with drainage. Some of the tee boxes are uneven but you can find a flat spot. Some dirt/sand would sure help level them out. The greens are poa-ana with nice true rolls. The black tee boxes are tucked back in the flora/fauna and blue/white/red spread out in front. If this course had top maintenance it could be a 5+ star course. It is not a goat track nor a cow pasture. Tee boxes are elevated and fairways have a nice flow. Some are shaped both left and right. It's not long enough for pro's but perfect for most golfers. I'm comparing to courses in Southern California and Hawaii where I have spent my 50 years of playing golf. played on 3-30-18. Winter/spring conditions 90* cart rule. 2 species of hawks, northern flickers, many different ducks, Canadian geese, turkeys, lakes surrounded by reeds are some of the nature here.
