Palm Aire Country Club

Pompano Beach, Florida, USASouth Florida

Palm Aire Country Club in Pompano Beach features three 18-hole courses offering variety and approachable layouts amid South Florida’s coastal environment. While the club balances challenge with playability, it is especially suited to golfers seeking straightforward courses with strategic elements and relaxed surroundings.

Course Overview

Palm Aire Country Club in Pompano Beach offers a welcoming and varied golf experience across its three distinct 18-hole layouts: the Palms, the Oaks, and the Cypress courses. Each course presents its own character, inviting players to navigate a well-balanced blend of challenge and enjoyment under the South Florida sun. While the club operates as a private facility, it has developed a reputation for approachable yet strategically designed golf that caters to a broad range of skill levels.

The Palms course features a straightforward layout, characterized by simple fairways guarded by bunkers and a scattering of water hazards that quietly demand respect. It’s a course that keeps strategy in focus without overwhelming players with complexity. The Oaks and Cypress courses introduce a bit more undulation and variation in hole design, rewarding thoughtful shot placement and careful club selection. The flat terrain typical of the region is complemented by palm groves and low-lying water features that create a calm landscape, occasionally interrupted by gentle coastal breezes that test a golfer’s timing and control.

Despite some feedback on fairway conditions and greens needing attention, the courses generally hold up well, with staff committed to improvements. Practical advice for visitors includes bringing sunscreen and wearing moisture-wicking apparel to handle Florida’s heat, alongside comfortable walking shoes if choosing to walk. The Palm Aire clubhouse stands as a modest but functional hub, offering cold sandwiches and hot dogs post-round, though dining options are limited.

The club’s atmosphere leans toward relaxed, making it a fitting destination for winter visitors and local members eager to maintain their game year-round. Golfers drawn to straightforward layouts with intermittent hazards will find enough interest here without becoming overwhelmed. The presence of three separate courses ensures variety, allowing players to cycle through different challenges or enjoy a full day of golf.

Overall, Palm Aire Country Club presents a practical golfing venue with accessible playability and a quiet charm, rooted in South Florida’s flat coastal setting. Whether visiting for a social round or refining specific aspects of play, players will discover a course that respects the fundamentals of the game while providing room for steady improvement.

Kind of a dog track but not bad. Simple design and not a ton of trouble to get into. Greens were in okay shape. Starter is a little wound up for no reason. Would def play again.

I have a lot of fun playing here. It’s not over whelming nor is it an easy course. Some holes are more challenging then others. The greens need some work which I’m sure they will get soon. Great course to play.

Spongy fairways, greens ok. No sunscreen in a Florida pro shop - surprising. Also, no restaurant or snack bar other than cold sandwiches and hot dogs. A bit disappointing

Course is awful condition. Should be $20-30 to play. Play oaks its better. The palms is so bad. Not one fairway that isn’t sand/dirt

Had a group of 16 of us come down for the winter break from Indiana to fellowship and play golf. We had nothing short of an amazing time. We played all 3 courses (Palms - Oaks - Cypress) and have to say all had unique characteristics about them. All 3 courses were in great shape and the staff was very friendly and professional! 10/10 Do Recommend!
