Course Overview

Village Greens Golf Course presents an accessible and well-maintained par-3 challenge that appeals equally to beginners honing their short game and seasoned players sharpening their precision. Located in Port Orchard, Washington, this 18-hole course offers a compact layout that emphasizes approach shots and putting while delivering a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere. The course features a traditional parkland style, with modest elevation changes and generous tree cover that frames each hole, offering a quiet setting without the pressure of length or overly complex design.

Though the yardage is limited—designed primarily for par-3 play—Village Greens tests your wedge accuracy and green reading skills across varied pin placements and subtle breaks. Recent improvements to the putting surfaces have enhanced the pace and consistency of the greens, making scoring more reliable and enjoyable. The fairways and rough, while firm and sometimes dry in the summer months, provide a natural feel that encourages strategic shot-making rather than brute force.

Complementing the course is a covered driving range that extends usability during rainy Northwest days, plus dedicated chipping and putting greens that allow focused practice sessions. The approachable layout and welcoming staff create a friendly environment for families and casual golfers, with speedy rounds that fit well into busy schedules.

Village Greens extends excellent value through affordable green fees, particularly appealing to local residents and those looking to improve the short game without breaking the bank. While golf carts are available, the course encourages walking, which reveals the gentle contours and keeps golfers connected to the surroundings. The compact routing ensures players rarely search long for the next tee, though a few directional signs could ease navigation.

Whether you’re tuning up your wedge work or seeking a low-key course to enjoy steady golf, Village Greens stands out as a practical choice. It captures the spirit of community golf with thoughtful amenities and a layout designed to maintain momentum and engagement, all under the often damp, peaceful skies of the Pacific Northwest.

Course Highlights

It’s a great course to work on approach and pitching but i didn’t appreciate the guy working at the pro shop. Had some attitude about me showing up one minute late but little did buddy know that I got in a fender bender on the way to the course. But after that it was just a busy day out there for some golf.

Incredible value on a smaller but challenging course. I’ve had a ball playing this course on a monthly pass that is the best golf bargain I’ve ever seen. And it has a covered driving range, plus separate practice greens for putting and chipping. And man, do I need all that! Friendly staff too. And I’ve seen the grounds crew out there working every day. I’m able to play as much golf as I want, and without having to take out a second mortgage to finance it. Amazing. (BTW - I see reviews mentioning good practice for irons, which is true, but I don’t hit irons 289 yards for example, so I find it’s good practice for woods as well.) Update 7/22: Major work done on the greens last winter. Excellent putting surface now. My compliments!

It's close to our home and the staff have been very friendly. We like their driving range because it's covered.

We played Village Greens July 3rd 2025. First I want to say the booking and check in was a very good experience… nice folks! The Yamaha gas carts are a little rough and dirty. We had to change out our first one because of a loose starter belt. The second one would suddenly lurch when accelerating threatening whiplash. Overall the course (in July) appears to be under watered, and the rough is dry hard pan with small stones and short dried brown grass. I refuse to hit off a surface that would ruin my club. We found the course a little confusing. Even though the score card had a little map, a couple of times we had to ask other players where the next tee box was 😟. Despite the negative we did have fun and benefited from the short iron play.

Very tight fairways, lots of trees, tiny elevated greens but thankfully not very slippery. My wife and I will be playing there again.

This is a nice 18 hole community Golf course for a par 3 course. Low budget course so not much watering but plenty of shade. For two people with Military discount it was $20 dollars for nine holes. On average we take about 1 and half hours for 9 holes. Great staff, has small Pro shop, driving range, putting green, and a chipping Green. Enjoy a nice afternoon on a not so crowded course.
