Avalon Golf Links
Avalon Golf Links in Burlington, Washington, offers a flexible 27-hole layout across three separate courses blending parkland and links-style features. With well-kept greens, narrow fairways, and mountain views, it provides a practical yet scenic challenge for players of all levels.
Course Overview
Avalon Golf Links presents a unique golf destination in Burlington, Washington, featuring an adaptable 27-hole layout spread across three distinct 9-hole courses. Golfers can combine these courses into an 18- or 27-hole round, offering fresh variety with every visit. The course lies just off Kelleher Road, making it accessible for both local players and visitors exploring the scenic Pacific Northwest.
Designed with a blend of parkland and links-style elements, Avalon’s fairways weave through mature trees and open stretches that provide views of the nearby Cascade Mountains. The landscape demands precision, especially on several narrow tee shots where errant drives can vanish into dense rough or hidden hazards, urging players to focus deliberately on course management. Despite some blind tee boxes, the relatively large, flat greens allow for a measured pace on approach shots and putting.
Avalon’s conditioning is consistent, with well-maintained greens and tee boxes that hold firm throughout the round. Sand traps are sparingly placed but offer enough challenge to keep golfers attentive without excessive penalty. The course layout caters to players of varying skill levels, balancing playable holes with strategic elements that test mid- to low-handicappers alike.
Amenities include a clubhouse with a pro shop offering basic golf supplies, alongside a modest restaurant and bar that serve as social hubs post-round. The driving range provides multiple turf hitting pads for warm-up, while beverage cart service is available on select days, keeping players refreshed under Washington’s often changeable weather.
Visitors should note that tee times are tightly booked, sometimes creating a compressed pace of play. Planning ahead and securing a reservation at least a week in advance is advisable, particularly on weekends. While walking is permitted, the course’s layout and occasional elevation changes favor sturdy footwear and moderate fitness.
Avalon Golf Links combines approachable charm with the challenge of a thoughtfully maintained three-course complex. It suits golfers seeking diverse routing amid a northwestern setting framed by mountain views, all within a short drive of Burlington’s urban conveniences.
Course Highlights

Avalon Golf Links is a golf course in Burlington made up of 3 separate 9 hole courses. You can play a combination of them totalling 18 or even 27, and they even used to have an all you can play option but I didn't see that when we got there last time. It's pretty easy to get to, only right off the main road about a minute. They have a big parking lot but it's setup kind of weird with a bunch of one ways and slanted spots so it can be tough to get around. Inside, they have a clubhouse with a small store with your basic necessities as well as a little restaurant area with a bar. The pro shop employees are nice and chatty, and the bar servers are funny to chat with. They have a driving range with about a dozen turf pads. Prices aren't too bad for range balls, and prices for the course play plus a cart are a bit high but they take good care of the course. Speaking of, the courses themselves are good. Well maintained greens, fairways in good condition, rough not too bad, and tee boxes were nice and flat. A lot of narrow holes here, but the greens are relatively flat and big. A few sand traps, which at the time were a bit hard, but overall still fine. Beverage cart service is on certain days (check their site for details) and stocked full of things to get. Overall, Avalon is a fun course and although a bit pricey, still worth playing. Book a tee time up to a week before hand since they tend to be fully booked a few days out.

Avalon Golf Links offers a scenic and well-maintained course with stunning views of the Cascade Mountains. However, the pace of play was disappointing, taking 5 hours to complete 18 holes. While the course itself is enjoyable, the slow pace can detract from the experience. It’s a great spot if you have the time and patience.

Played South/North trak. Good round. Easy to lose balls if off the fairway and some blind tee shots that facilitate this occurring more than I would like. They did have caddies at the ready and were I playing alone, I would take advantage of this - if only to work the course better. The downside is how tightly the tee times are booked (8/9 min?)... On a Tuesday!! We had to let a twosome play through on 3 and before 7, we had another group knocking on our back door. (We do not play slow!!) If they collect $100+ on a weekday morning, they should book 10 min minimum.

course is pretty nice. i played west south but the pace of play is absolutely ridiculous. never in my life have i heard of a course with 5 minute tee time intervals on a weekend + allowing 5 and 6 sums to go out. What a terrible representation from a decent looking golf course. No dress code either, these clowns wear t shirts and sweat pants and shoot 140

I have returned to Avalon every year. It holds a special place in my heart because this was the last course my father and I played before he passed. I love the 27 holes and all 3 courses are beautiful. Looking forward to returning next month.

Great course! Nice greens, interesting terrain. Good folks. No sand in the bunkers though just rock and hard pack. It's a shame as the course is so good otherwise.
