Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club

Jacksonville, Florida, USANortheast Florida

Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club provides an 18-hole semi-private experience in Jacksonville, combining water hazards and forgiving fairways to offer a measured challenge. The course’s thoughtful maintenance and smooth green conditions make it an inviting option for golfers seeking both strategy and enjoyment.

Course Overview

Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida, offers an 18-hole layout that balances challenge with accessible playability within a gated community setting. This semi-private course presents a design that invites golfers of varying skill levels to navigate thoughtfully placed hazards and varied shot requirements. Water comes into play on roughly a third of the holes, adding both strategic depth and a visual contrast to the well-maintained fairways and greens.

The course’s fairways are generally forgiving in width, accommodating a range of drives without punishing overly harshly, while the greens show consistent care, rolling true and responding well to quality strokes. Players will find some holes that demand precision, especially on certain par 3s where hazards frame the targets closely. These provoke deliberate shot-making, although some water hazards appear small and may feel more like frustration points than strategic tests.

Set against a backdrop of a residential community, the course remains focused on the quality of play rather than visually immersive natural scenery. The proximity to nearby roadways and homes doesn’t intrude into the playing experience significantly, thanks to thoughtful layout decisions. Directional signage around the course could be improved to aid navigation from hole to hole.

Staff and course maintenance receive positive remarks, reflecting a welcoming atmosphere and a smooth pace of play. The clubhouse serves as a central hub for members, providing amenities suited for relaxation before or after rounds. Golfers planning a visit should bring printed tee time confirmations due to the gated access protocol.

For those who appreciate a course that encourages strategic thinking with a mixture of water and bunker hazards, Queen's Harbour offers a well-kept, moderately demanding test. Golfers aiming for an enjoyable round in Jacksonville will find a solid balance of challenge and playability in this community-centered layout.

Course Highlights

The course highlights water hazards on a third of its holes, strategically placed bunkers guarding greens, and a layout that rewards accuracy without relentless punishment. Fun course. Well kept and challenging hole placement on greens. Great scenery and some cool holes/tee boxes with water and other hazard use. Close to road and houses, but does not encroach on the game.

Very nice course! Malcolm was very helpful with helping setting up Tee time. Very clean course. Please be aware of the extended ball cleaners around the course. They tend to not return balls. They retained six of mine and I will be looking for some type of reimbursement 😅

Semi private course in a gated community. You will need to print your tee time confirmation to gain access to the course. Course condition is good. Starter and staff were friendly. Can use a few more sign to direct players to the next hole. I have issues with the overall design of the course. A lot of unnecessary hazards. E.g. on a par 3 that requires precision on the tee, they put 2 small red stake water hazard on both short side of the green. The hazard is like a 3 foot areas that serve no real purposes except to piss you off. Lots of weird design on this course that didn’t feel like it’s properly design for playability but rather some 5 years old playing architect.

Friendly staff. Forgiving fairways. Wide enough to keep the ball in play. Greens in great shape and roll true. Some great and unique holes. Water in play on about 1/3 of them. I'd play it again for sure. Love the scenery!
