Made a Tee Time for 4pm over 2 months ago knowing we were going to be down for our Vacation. The day of our Tee Time it was calling for rain right at our originally scheduled time (which for about 10mins it did right at 4:00) and we decided to go a bit early to see if we could get on around 2:20 and they accommodated us. The course itself was in tip top shape and coming down from the North it’s always great playing a course like this where everything is right in front of you. The Front Desk attendant was awesome as was the Cart Staff too. I highly recommend Azalea Sands for anyone looking to play a good fast 18holes. My Son and I played our entire 18 holes in 3hrs and 45mins. I know where to play when we come back down in 2 years. Also, the squirrels on and around the course are awesome as well. Treat yourself to a great round of Golf at Azalea Sands.

I recently came and visited your course at azalea sands and I am extremely disappointed in my experience. First off I would like to clarify by saying the course itself and the golfing itself were both very good and a good first experience in golfing for me since I have never golfed before. The one complaint I have about my experience is that the clubs that we were forced to rent were extremely short and I could barely use them. My main complaint is how rudely your employees were to us throughout our entire experience. The man at the desk was nice to us for the first part but when we went outside to get our cart the man was extremely rude to us. My friend asked him if there was a bathroom anywhere that he could use, and the employee responded what the hell do you mean do we have a bathroom just go inside and find it. When I approached him he said do you guys not have bathrooms where you come from, what’s wrong with that guy? That was the first of many rude remarks he made towards us. Also, the man smelled very much like alcohol/ beer, which was concerning especially since he was in charge of carts. Later, when we were playing on hole 6 he approached us on a cart and said he’d let us finish through hole 9 but we would not be allowed to finish the 18 holes that we paid for. Then as he was leaving he said you guys need to stop sucking and play some golf, which was very upsetting to us because it was our first time playing. As we were finished playing hole 9 we walked up to him and we were informed that there was nothing we could do at that time about the 9 holes that we were not going to get our money back and that we’d have to further dispute things with the course after paying 70 dollars for 18 holes of golf that we didn’t get to play and clubs I could barely use. I don’t know how you guys plan to make this right, but I just wanted to let you know how bad our experience was and was wondering if there’s anything you’re willing to do to make things right.

I had a 7:08 tee time in the morning and got there early because I wanted to hit some range balls. they do not have a driving range, which obviously I did not know. When I walked in the attendant in the pro shop, the first thing he says was you’ve got at least 30 minutes before you tee off. No welcome to Azalea Sands, no good morning. The course is in fairly decent shape. There’s too many other choices for me to come back.

We had a great time at this course. We drove around and many other courses didn't have an early morning tee time. Hard to find a course that doesn't mind a golfer with a rider like me. Thank you to Chuck at the main desk to help us around and also saved my ass when I lost my wallet because of that dumb outfit I was wearing, then when I came back after another golfer said he turned my wallet in, he had it, and he even got me a beer because he could tell I was stressed out. Also Millard, who, knowing Mark was on another hole, said, "Follow me," and took me right back to him with a six pack of beer. I overheard one of the fancy golf wives say, "I never get service like this," which made me snort-laugh out loud, especially because I was in a nightmare of my own making since I pretty much forced Mark to take me "golfing" which means me driving the cart while he yells at me when I go the wrong way or talk too loudly. I kinda hope we get tickets in the lottery to Augusta for the Masters just for the rage fest that will undoubtedly ensue. I saw Millard a few more times in passing on the golf course and he remembered me and we would talk briefly before I went on to pick up Mark. We got back to the clubhouse just in time for the rain to start, and I tried to find Chuck and Millard to tip them, but Chuck had already left, and I assume Millard was cruising the course. Also, I made lots of friends, but they were some weird strain of squirrel that I've never seen before. They would almost come right up to me. I named them Rocky, Bullwinkle, and Impervious. Thanks for a great time. If we're ever in the area again we will be back. I will also name your course in my official review in my timeshare group.

Azalea Sands is such a pleasant surprise! The landscaping is absolutely adorable, and the local wildlife made the round even more memorable—I spotted black squirrels (a first for me!) and even a turtle casually cruising across the fairway. The course itself had a great pace of play, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. It’s not the most challenging course around, but the relaxed atmosphere and natural charm make it a lovely stop on any Myrtle Beach golf trip.

I played here 4 times within the last 2 weeks. I'm a local living in The Market Common area. I love the course! It's great for a female beginner like me!! I love the silver tees. Almost no other courses have them. Your fairways are beautiful and I like the larger greens. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful...especially Jay and Dick! There is only one criticism that I have which I'm sure that you get a lot and that is the cart paths. They are the worst that I have seen. It's really too bad on such a lovely course. I also wish that you had room somewhere for a driving range. I will be playing here a lot this summer while my go to course, Whispering Pines, is undergoing a complete renovation.

Course is in great shape for this time of year, a few rough spots on a few greens, but none that affected the putting or roll of the ball.
