Course Overview
Thousand Hills Golf Resort in Branson, Missouri offers an 18-hole championship course that balances natural beauty with strategic challenge. This public resort course unfolds across rolling terrain peppered with mature trees, water hazards, and well-placed bunkers that demand thoughtful shot placement. The layout encourages a pace of play that suits both seasoned golfers seeking a test and casual players enjoying a scenic round. From the first tee, players encounter fairways framed by gentle slopes and native grasses, with subtle elevation changes that influence club selection and shot shape.
The course’s design integrates classic parkland elements with the Ozark foothills’ distinctive character, offering a varied golfing experience without overwhelming less experienced players. Greens are moderately contoured, requiring attentive approach shots and delicate putting. Water comes into play on several holes, adding a layer of risk-and-reward that keeps the round engaging.
Thousand Hills extends beyond the course itself, with amenities tailored to guests looking for a full golf getaway. The clubhouse offers a relaxed atmosphere for post-round refreshments, while the adjoining accommodations provide convenient access for multi-day stays. The resort’s setting just south of Branson ensures that players remain within reach of city amenities yet enjoy a respite from its bustle.
Walking the course is encouraged in calm weather, allowing players to appreciate the subtle shifts in landscape and breeze patterns that influence play. A practice facility with a driving range and putting green supports skill sharpening before tee-off. Carts are available but the layout rewards those who prefer to test their endurance alongside their swing.
For golfers plotting a visit, early morning rounds offer cooler temperatures and a quieter course. Summer afternoons typically bring gentle breezes that can influence club choice, especially around exposed greens. Whether arriving for a quick round or an extended stay, Thousand Hills Golf Resort delivers a well-rounded experience defined by approachable challenge and thoughtful design.

We had a great experience! Hope to come back next year. The elevators were hectic at check out. And was very hot in that area. That is my only complaint but everyone was amazing. The little mini get-away was very nice.

we checked in and the codes they gave us for our room didn’t work, we called and they said they would send a maintenance person, we waited 30 minutes and no maintenance. called back and had to wait on hold for almost 10 minutes and they said that the maintenance person was leaving the clubhouse then and would be there in 10-15 minutes. this is after standing outside in 90 degree weather for over 30 minutes. maintenance man came and said we would have to call the clubhouse to get another code. the condo was barely cleaned, found food and candy in the carpet, a used soap bar in the shower, and other peoples stuff in the kitchen drawers. incredibly humid rooms that do not improve with ac. we were missing tv remotes so you couldn’t change the tv channel only turn it on and off. when leaving the cleaning people were waiting outside our room for us to leave for at least an hour before we had to check out, set all of the new towels on the concrete outside our door. overall a dirty, loud condo with very little assistance from the front desk. location is nice and off the main strip. pool is nice and usually not very busy which is why i’m giving it 2 stars. it is also a safe area and there are a lot of families there.

The cabins are great. The bed was amazing, would actually love to know the mattress brand. The dual shower heads were a nice touch in the shower. The kitchen was efficient The tv was a little small for the room, but overall the furniture was comfortable.

This was the worst! Ruined our trip we spent most of our time either contacting maintenance about the constant water leaks emptying pans of water from the leaking AC.etc. carpets were black with dirt and sticky. Would turn your feet black after walking on. Four year old socks were ruined. Maintenance came three separate days and never fixed the problem. Hair on the shower walls in the master bath. One room the fitted sheet came off the bed and bugs were under the mattress cover. When we complained they offered to give us a free pizza, not to change our accommodations or anything just a free $15 pizza. The trip was to celebrate my husbands 25 yrs of hard work and Branson was SUCH a let down. We are recommending the company not to waste their thousands of dollars on anymore Branson trips.

Stayed 5-9-25 through 5-11-25. Staff were professional and helpful from the check-in to the golf shop. The room reeked of smoke!!! I went and got some FraBreeze and that knocked it down but it was bad. We stayed in one of the Legacy units, which was decent enough. The course was fun but it was wet so no carts on the fairway. Would I stay and play again? If the price was right, like a package deal, or if it was just the boys. But I won’t bring my wife here again.
