Rupert Park Pitch & Putt

Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaMetro Vancouver

Rupert Park Pitch & Putt delivers an accessible urban short-game challenge with 18 thoughtful holes tailored for players of all levels. Its compact layout, combined with improved conditions and friendly staff, provides an effective practice ground for those focused on precision and control.

Course Overview

Rupert Park Pitch & Putt offers a distinctive urban golfing experience amid Vancouver’s cityscape, catering to players seeking to sharpen their short game without the time demands of a full course. This 18-hole pitch and putt course challenges golfers with a compact yet thoughtfully arranged layout that blends natural elements with the occasional urban edge. The terrain, shaped by its unique setting largely in a former swamp area, presents gentle elevation changes and varied green complexes that test precision and touch.

The course primarily appeals to golfers at all skill levels looking for an approachable and quick round. Its shorter holes allow players to focus on iron accuracy and putting finesse, ideal for practicing delicate chips and confident approaches. The greens are designed for subtle breaks, rewarding thoughtful reads and controlled strokes. In recent years, improvements in maintenance have elevated conditions, particularly under the stewardship of the current groundskeeper who pays close attention to detail, ensuring fairways and greens remain playable during fair weather.

While early spring may bring soggy patches due to underlying soil conditions, warmer months dry the terrain, enhancing footing and ball roll. Golfers venturing here are advised to wear shoes suitable for soft ground in cooler periods and expect a brisk, social pace of play. Although groups can occasionally bottleneck certain holes, weekdays and early mornings on weekends provide the most fluid rounds.

Beyond the course, Rupert Park’s welcoming staff and affordable rental clubs make it a practical choice for city dwellers and visitors looking to practice without venturing far. The compact nature of the layout makes it inviting for players with limited time, and its relaxed atmosphere encourages casual enjoyment alongside skill development.

For those seeking a traditional golf day, this is not the place, but for any golfer wanting to work on their score-saving short game, Rupert Park Pitch & Putt stands out as a subtle challenge amid Vancouver’s urban green spaces.

Course Highlights

Short holes emphasize control and touch with a variety of green slopes. Course layout reveals subtle elevation shifts shaped by its swamp-area foundation. Recent improvements in green maintenance have enhanced playability. An urban oasis for short game practice and social rounds.

Really Really Really bad experience, I live in East Van for 9 years. I played there probably 100 of times. First we showed up at 6 pm , no cheaper deal for the sunsets? Charged Us 19$ . Groups of 5 a front Us :( . My body and I decided to skip 5 holes. All the Green are in a bad shape. I promise myself to never go there again

I have been going to Rupert Park regularly as a way to practice my short game and get outdoors for the past 4 years. Contrary to the many "less-than-stellar" Google reviews, I love the place. It is like peaceful oasis in the middle of a city and good value. About two years ago, Nick took over as Greenskeeper, and the condition of the course has improved significantly since then. He obviously cares a lot about it and really focuses on the details! It's true that early in the season it can be muddy for sure. That's because it is largely built in a swamp. Even so, I prefer it by far over Queen Elizabeth Park! Now that the weather is warmer, the soggy areas are mostly dried up. The fairways are in fantastic shape, and the greens are meticulous. I also want to shout out to the friendly staff in the office. They are great. I feel fortunate that we have such a great facility in the city.

Course design is interesting and unique, but the greens have been in bad shape since they reopened in March. Staff don’t control pace of play hence the 5-8 people groups clogging up the course leading to 3 and a half hour rounds at a pitch and putt. Still a great course to play on weekdays though. Changed to 4 stars as the conditions have improved, first green is still a temp green but the rest of the greens are not too bad at the moment. Highly recommend heading out for 18 on a weekday or early morning on the weekends

Was pleasantly surprised at the good condition of the course, all the tee off mats were brand new too. I also appreciate that the Vancouver pitch & putts do club rentals until much later than the Burnaby ones.

The quality was extremely poor for the price. It’s way more expensive than Burnaby’s pitch and putt. The fairways and rough were full of weeds. The greens were in terrible shape — full of dents and patches where the ball couldn’t even roll properly. It kept bouncing and getting caught in the damaged areas. I don’t recommend this one🥲🥲🥲

Great pitch and putt. They worked hard to repair the greens and it’s all good for summer. Thanks !
