Henderson, Nevada, USALas Vegas Area

Legacy Golf Club offers an 18-hole desert layout in Henderson, Nevada, featuring natural terrain and strategic elevation changes. The course blends accessible playability with challenges shaped by desert winds and varied shot requirements, supported by helpful amenities for visitors.

Course Overview

Legacy Golf Club presents an 18-hole desert layout located in Henderson, Nevada, blending the natural arid terrain with subtle elevation changes that invite both strategic thinking and shot variety. The course caters primarily to public players seeking a challenging round amid the Southwestern desert atmosphere. While the layout does not follow a traditional links or parkland style, it offers a distinctive desert golf experience marked by wide fairways framed with native brush and sandy waste areas that demand accuracy off the tee and finesse around the greens.

Players will encounter a course length that challenges varying skill levels, with holes designed to reward precise iron play and intelligent course management. The undulating greens add an element of complexity but have drawn mixed feedback regarding their current condition, suggesting a need for maintenance improvements to fully match the course’s potential. Scattered bunkers and natural desert features serve as strategic deterrents, requiring an understanding of desert golf nuances to navigate successfully.

Beyond the layout, Legacy Golf Club provides amenities that include a pro shop with rental clubs and a welcoming staff noted for their helpfulness. The desert winds, often a factor, test a player’s tempo and club selection, adding life to each round especially on more exposed holes. The facility also offers golf lessons with a knowledgeable teaching professional, catering to players aiming to hone their skills in a supportive environment.

Visitors should prepare for warm temperatures and variable conditions typical of the Nevada desert. Hydration is accessible throughout the round, an important aspect when playing in the summer heat. Cart rentals are available, though walking is possible for those accustomed to desert terrain, with proper footwear recommended due to sandy patches and uneven surfaces.

Legacy Golf Club remains a venue where golf enthusiasts can experience the distinct challenges of desert golf combined with amenities designed for comfort and improvement. Prospective players are encouraged to check course conditions ahead of their visit to ensure an optimal experience aligned with their expectations.

It was a fun layout to play and the course was in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it. I paid about $160 for the round, rental clubs, cart, and range balls. The rental clubs were a nice set of Callaway too. The wind was blowing over 20MPH but it was still a good time.

Played this course a few times now. Never has it been in great shape but its quality has been getting worse and worse. The reason for the one star is simple, the price does not match the quality of the course. When I used to play here it would be around a $50 or less round. At that price I know the course may not be in the best shape but that’s ok because price reflects that. Recently they have been charging around $70. To me this meant quality or care must have went up…. Not true at all, if anything it got worse. I feel like I got robbed because most greens were rugged and half dead plus bunkers weren’t even raked to start the day. They were filled with large stones and some weren’t even sand, just desert floor next to the “green” disguised at a bunker. Nothing wrong with a course that isn’t maintained to a crazy high level but make the price reflect the quality of playability.

Time for a new review. It’s been about a year. Early start and was pleasantly greeted by Billy, loaded my clubs and let m e know i was in first group. Clubhousenot open yet so i hit a few chips to warm up. I prepaidso checkin was quick and easy. Greeted proshop associate and couldn'tget a smile or welcome. Asked him how was the course conditionand got It’s "fine". Not what i expected. Got to cart as my tee time was in 2 minutes. Reminder no GPS, need your range finder. No starter in yet. Was informed he was on his way in, not a great start. Got cart key and on my way. Now for course conditions. I'll begin with positives. Tee boxes and fairways (except sod thrown on top patch work, pic) were in good shape Grade A-. Greens were hit and miss. Appears heat and some disease may may have taken toll on about 30% note some oics. Grade C- as at least pins located away from really poor areas. Around the greens in very bad condition. If you miss the green you could find yourselfin unplayable lie. Grade F. Pics attached Traps appear to not have been raked or tended to in days. Grade D. Overall it appears progress was stalled either due to staffing or money, probably both. Cart paths still in poor shape and there are some areas so bad an accident is at risk. I do like the layout but the course value is worth only $50. I wish I could rate higher but it feels like ownership not interested in investing in course to become a premier course that could comand the higher green fees and repeated play. I was ready to book for tomorrow but I'll play elsewhere. Overall I wish the progress had not stalled and slipped. Can only give C Grade at best. Prior posts below: It's been a couple of months, so i decided to play Lagacy again and see the progress. Let's rate the course. Tee boxes A- good shape all but one or two were flat and and level in nice shape. Fairways B good shape, few areas need attention, but overall, I am very pleased. Greens B+ and very much improved. Would earn an A with a little more speed, but this has been a huge improvement, and i give the course tremendous kudos. Only #17 still has issues. Sand traps. B+ Another big improvement. Needs some triming but very playable. Cart paths C- and not a major concern, but several areas need major repairs. Big expense and not impacting golf play. Peripheral areas. C- These areas outside of normal play, Suggest areas around green oarking to rope off to allow grass to regrow, cart path trimming and just the little course details to look top notch. Again not impacting golf play, so they have priorities in order for the budget. Staff and assistance were friendly. Give a solid B. So overall, I grade Lefacy a sold B+ and am pleased with progress and definitely back on my Let's Go play course. Another update after today's round. I am pleased to inform that Legacy GC continues to make nice strides under the new management. The greens are vastly improved and they were rolling! That is huge improvement. Several sand traps have been upgraded with new sand, nicely packed. The staff is positive and upbeat with the new team. Golf carts have been replaced. No GPS so bring your range finder or use their app. My only negative is I signed up for SNGA with the free round at Legacy and I got a discount but no free round. Need to let SNGA know. Overall making great progress and I will recommend and play Legacy GC once again. Keep it going! Thanks I played Legacy again, wanted to give the new management a chance to show their progress. They're doing a good job. This is ideal time for golf courses so i expected to see good progress. I'm pleased to say there was nice improvements. Greens are slow but there's grass, yeah. Keep it up and roll them. Fairways were good shape overseeding grew in nicely. They cut out the grass in the bunkers but they lack sand. One step at a time. Range and practice area nicely kept. Clubhouse and restaurant nicely kept. Restrooms clean and orderly. So I give them kudos and keep the progress going.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience after a recent round at Legacy Golf Club. To put it bluntly, this was one of the most frustrating and disappointing rounds of golf I’ve ever had – and it had everything to do with the condition of the course. The greens were absolutely awful – completely covered in sand, bumpy, and borderline unplayable. I've played golf for years and I’ve never seen putting surfaces in such poor shape. It was like trying to putt on a beach. What made this worse was the complete lack of transparency. There was no mention anywhere on the website or during the booking process about the maintenance or condition of the greens. Had I known, I absolutely would have booked elsewhere. Considering the condition of the course, the price we paid was outrageous. I don’t mind paying premium rates when the course is in good shape – but this was inexcusable. If you're charging full price, the customer deserves full disclosure and a course that reflects the value. Bottom line: Legacy Golf Club needs to do better – much better – when it comes to honesty and customer communication. I won’t be returning, and I’d strongly advise others to call ahead and get the real story before spending your money here.

The course was in absolutely terrible shape. The greens had gigantic patches and holes, the fairways weren’t much better, neither were the tee boxes. Some of the tee boxes were sloped so the ball was either above or below your stance. The maintenance crew that cut the tee boxes didn’t even replace the tee markers! The condition this course is in, it is not worth $25 green fees let alone the $62 I paid. 100% do not recommend this course until there is some serious maintenance done.

We had a group of 12 play on Sat Jun 28 (all Vegas locals). No complaints about the clubhouse and the guys in the starters area. The practice putting green was a bit shaggy (slow). Fairways for the most part were in decent shape. Some of the greens need help. Particularly #1 and #17 where there were large patches of un-puttable surface. Hopefully they get those fixed. Definitely a fun layout with left and right doglegs, up and down approaches. If you're a weekend hacker like us, just treat the bare areas as GUR, take a free drop and play on.

Played Legacy recently and had a great experience. The greens and fairways were in excellent shape, course was challenging with cool elevation change and nice variety of required shots. Huge props to the staff for being friendly and generous with water unlike some other clubs, which goes a long way when it's 105° out. We also just started lessons with the club pro, Daniel, and we’re loving it. He’s super knowledgeable, approachable, and cool to work with — definitely recommend him if you're looking to improve your game. Overall, just a great time. Can’t wait to go back.
