Teton Pines Golf Course
Teton Pines crafts a commanding 18-hole journey framed by the Tetons’ dramatic peaks. This private course combines parkland styling with alpine scenery, offering a balanced challenge suited for skilled players seeking both strategic play and untouched mountain views.
Course Overview
Teton Pines, located just outside the mountain town of Jackson, Wyoming, offers an 18-hole championship layout that challenges players while providing an immersive alpine golf experience. Set against the striking backdrop of the Teton Range, the course features a parkland style with meticulously maintained fairways and greens that demand precision and a strategic approach. Water hazards weave throughout the design, introducing both beauty and challenge, while bunkers hold soft, fine sand that responds well to clean shots and tests short game skills.
The landscape embraces its high-desert environment with pockets of native sagebrush and stands of mature conifers framing several holes, offering both visual contrast and shelter from the region’s shifting winds. Although the elevation adds an element of endurance, the layout balances length and shot-making so golfers of intermediate to low handicap levels can find rewarding opportunities without feeling overwhelmed.
Teton Pines is a private, members-only club that welcomes a select number of guests through member invitation or special events. The clubhouse provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, where players can relax before and after their round, enjoying mountain vistas from an expansive patio. Despite its remote setting, the course tends toward walking-friendly terrain, with gradual slopes and well-maintained cart paths if you prefer to sit out the Wyoming altitude.
Players should note the absence of water stations on the course, so carrying sufficient hydration is essential—especially in summer months when temperatures climb. Restrooms are limited on the layout but are available near the clubhouse and on hole 14. Service during play is minimal, emphasizing a traditional golf experience without interruptions.
Teton Pines presents a compelling blend of sporting challenge and natural beauty. It captures the spirit of western golf through thoughtful design and untouched scenery, inviting golfers to engage their full skill set amid the grandeur of the Rockies.
Course Highlights
Teton Pines is renowned for its seamless integration of alpine parkland golf with mountain vistas. Water hazards and strategically placed bunkers shape a layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful course management. The course’s design capitalizes on natural elevation changes, while mature tree lines add strategic complexity, creating a memorable western golf experience.

Played the course on 9/29/24. Course was in excellent shape for the end of September. Course had a lot of water which was great. Value for your money is ok. $295 for an afternoon tee time is a lot but golf in the Jackson area is just expensive.

Enjoyed kicking off the member guest tournament here in beautiful Jackson Hole. Tummy lobster rolls, chowder, sushi, meatballs and lamb chops were served to a great turnout crowd. Best of luck to all of the players!

I just got finished playing the bagpipes for the opening of the yearly golf tournament... for the second time. And had a great time, as usual! The greens are beautifully-maintained, the area is emaculently clean, the patrons are very friendly and appreciative of my music, and the Golf Pro, Mr. Matt Stireman, is awesome to work with. Pretty course, great views, and stunning conditions with bunkers that have the softest sand in the west. However, note that we played as guests, that only have the opportunity for afternoon tee times. A coupe of things we learned (for what was an expensive round) 1. We were not made aware of restrooms at tee off, and could not find anything on the course. After calling the clubhouse, we were told that on hole 14, there was a trailer for bathrooms 2. There is no water on the course - be prepared to pack your own 3. The only way to get drinks was before tee off, and assuming you had time to stop before turning to 10 - we had a group on our backs, so we called in to see if they could run some out, and were told no. For a pricy round, you will get a great course, however, you will feel like an outsider and get no love.

I really enjoyed this course. The track is really fun and challenging at the same time. The staff were great, the head pro and assistant pro were very helpful with getting on to play as a single and pairing me up. I would highly recommend playing this course to anyone. I’m looking forward to coming back in the Fall to play sometime. Thank you Teton Pines!
