This golf course is the only one of the nearby golf courses around the Fraser River to deny public access to the Fraser River Trail - a multi-use pathway that has been approved by the city for decades. Not only have they denied access, but they have restricted existing access by installing fences blocking the use of an existing trail. If not for this place, we could have a riverfront trail from Musqueam to the Arbutus Greenway and Kent Bikeway in compliance with the Explore the Fraser project. This is a trail that should be accessible to equestrian activities, cycling, and walking. Take cue from the McCleery, Point Grey and Musqueam courses and restore access to the trail.

We DO NOT recommend this place at all. Been trying to book an event here for November, started inquiries in January 2024. At first they were accommodating but the inquiries stretched on until April because either the event manager, Fani T. was always away or they just didn’t like that we had a lot of questions due to we just want everything to run smooth during the event. It takes forever for them to reply to an email until all of a sudden they just stop responding at all. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. It seems like they didn’t want us to book their place for our event. It’s a shame they loss business but we were glad we didn’t bother pushing thru with them. We have found a very accommodating venue at Hilton Hotel instead.

This is a private golf course along the freezer river nestled between Mcleery Golf course which is a municipal golf course and Point Grey Golf & Country Club, which is another private golf course. Marine Drive golf course is smaller, but still full length. It’s very compact with some overlapping holes with tea boxes. There’s fairly good protections while awaiting on the tea box, but somehow I felt rather exposed on several different fronts when standing waiting to tee off. Because it’s so compact the holes are very closely placed together and again Erin shots have to be watched out for that most holes. Because it’s compact and relatively short, the difficulty is increased by having fewer direct lines of site to the green or straight fairways and rather a lot of dog legs left and right as as well as hidden greens or strategically located trees that block for access to the pin. Bun replacement is strategic as well. There is elevated lies. The place office is well manicured there is it approximately 15 station driving range into a large net as well as an extensive practice for putting in shipping. The club is itself as well appointed with a large pro shop and with all the stockings and a restaurant above. The parking lot is long, but Quite full when I was there and I’m not sure where else you would park if the parking lot is full. Overall had a great experience, golfing this golf course due to the challenging nature of its layout. When golfing the holes along the freezer, River, there’s great views of the river. It’s soft for the traffic up and down and looking across to Richmond side. Overall wonderful course to be had in the city and hope you can find a member that you can take on to play with.
