World Tour Golf Links

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USAGrand Strand

World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach offers an 18-hole public course inspired by legendary global layouts, delivering a challenging yet approachable round with well-maintained greens and strategic hazards. Its tournament-style design invites golfers of all levels to test their game amid close-quartered holes and smoothly draining fairways.

Course Overview

World Tour Golf Links, located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, offers an immersive 18-hole experience for golfers seeking a layout inspired by the world’s most iconic courses. This public course stands out with its ambitious design concept, drawing inspiration from landmarks such as the famous island green reminiscent of TPC Sawgrass’s 17th hole. The layout presents a fair blend of challenge and approachability, welcoming players across skill levels while rewarding strategic shot-making.

Set on relatively flat terrain, the course features generous fairways framed by water hazards and bunkers that demand attention and precision. Despite the coastal climate, the course manages excellent drainage, allowing play to continue unhindered after heavy showers. Greens are typically smooth and receptive, though some bunkers require vigilant maintenance, especially after inclement weather.

Players will notice holes positioned closely, requiring careful awareness of adjacent play and a measured approach around hazards. The track’s design encourages alternation between aggressive and conservative strategies, making it ideal for those looking to improve course management skills.

While the layout impresses with several visually striking holes, pace of play can be a concern due to limited on-course marshaling and slow groups. Early tee times and patience are advisable to optimize your round length and overall experience.

Facilities include a spacious clubhouse with a bar and dining options, although some guests note closing times that affect turn refreshments. Golf carts are available, but walking is feasible for those prepared for the terrain and distance.

World Tour Golf Links embraces the tournament-style atmosphere with an ambitious homage to international golf architecture. Its reputation as a Myrtle Beach destination draws casual to experienced players eager to test their skills on a course that blends creativity with accessibility. Planning ahead and arriving with a flexible mindset will help visitors make the most of what this unique layout offers under the South Carolina sun.

Course Highlights

The layout’s standout feature is a signature island green inspired by the 17th at TPC Sawgrass, alongside holes that integrate water and bunkers closely to the fairways creating strategic challenges. The course is recognized for its excellent drainage and a design that blends familiar international golf landmarks into Myrtle Beach’s coastal setting.

Decent course, but not sure it's worth the price. Tee boxes were very poorly maintained, pace of play was BRUTAL! We had the 4:47 tee and had to finish after 16 because it had gotten dark, but we had been stacked up behind 2 different foursomes all night. Bar also closed by the time we made it to the turn and the cart girl that stopped for us on the front 9 was out of most of her selection. Cool course to play once, wouldn't play again unfortunately

Played the Golf Course only and take it from a Retired Golf Maintenance guy of 35 years in the business....this course is in the later stages of needing a LOT of Love. An overhaul is well due. Hey, absolutely Love the idea of the layout but signs of a minimal workforce to keep it looking prestige is gone. The Green that resembles #17 green at TPC SAWGRASS is on the verge of being Completely lost due to an aged and failing Bulkhead structure. Just my own personal opinion but if some money is not sunk into this place within the next couple of years it will become only a memory to the people who got to play it and a New Home to the people that will live on the land when it gets sold.

The course was in very good shape, particularly given the recent heat. Greens rolled well and the layout was challenging. Absolutely loved the course. Two things prevent a five star review: 1. The tee times we backed up by almost an hour. I don't know if that's a regular occurrence. 2. We were behind two foursomes that apparently were part of the same group. They were tremendously slow and had at least one hole open in front of them. The course has no ranger and no one to move them along. I enjoy golf but I don't like rounds that take 5.5 hours. Particularly given the course's reputation as a tourist attraction, they need a ranger to get slow groups to either pick up and move on or let others play through.

I was amazing at the drainage on the course. It poured the first for it five holes. We found virtually no standing water the rest of the day. Drive the fairways. Good track.

We played the world tour golf course. The staff was lovely. Overall a good experience minus the pace of play was so slow, so there was a lot of play and sit. It took nearly 5 hours. Some of the course holes are very close to each other so you must stay alert to balls being hit from other holes. The bunkers needed some attention…probably due to some recent rain (fortunately we stayed out of those 😁).
