Raven Golf Club

Miramar Beach, Florida, USAFlorida Panhandle

Raven Golf Club in Miramar Beach presents a thoughtfully crafted 18-hole layout blending parkland and coastal elements. The course challenges players with strategic bunkering and natural water features while remaining accessible across skill levels.

Course Overview

Raven Golf Club, located in Miramar Beach, Florida, offers an 18-hole championship layout that challenges golfers of all skill levels with its thoughtful design and natural setting. This semi-private course features a parkland style with a touch of coastal influence, where rolling fairways are framed by native pines and scattered wetlands. The course’s terrain gently rises and falls, providing subtle elevation changes that add interest to swing decisions and club selection. Strategic bunkering and water hazards come into play on several holes, demanding accuracy off the tee and careful approach shots.

The overall setting is open yet intimate, allowing players to focus on shot-making without distraction. The greens are typically well-contoured, though players should be prepared for variable speeds, especially after maintenance such as aeration. Sand traps, while plentiful, sometimes challenge with less-than-ideal conditions underfoot, adding a layer of complexity rather than unfair punishment.

Raven Golf Club balances accessibility with test-worthy elements. Multiple tee boxes serve a broad range of handicaps, making it approachable for beginners while still engaging for low handicappers who want to plot aggressive lines. The fairways generally offer generous landing areas, rewarding controlled drives, yet the course’s length and hazards prevent any sense of complacency.

Golfers arriving should take note of the club’s busy nature, especially during peak season. Early arrival is recommended to ensure a smooth start, and preparation for walking is advised, given the course’s natural topography. Proper footwear will help navigate both turf and occasional soft areas resulting from Florida’s coastal climate.

Amenities include a well-stocked pro shop and a clubhouse that provides space to relax after play. Despite some challenges such as cart paths showing wear and bunker maintenance that could be improved, the course remains a favorite destination for travelers seeking a quality round near the Emerald Coast. Raven Golf Club rewards thoughtful golf and invites players to engage each hole as a fresh puzzle with a strong connection to its natural environment.

Course Highlights

The course features a mix of wide fairways lined by native vegetation, challenging bunkers positioned to affect tee and approach shots, and water hazards that come into play on half the holes. Signature moments hint at coastal influences, while the layout demands thoughtful strategy and precision.

Showed up an hour early for our tee time to get our rental clubs and hit the driving range. Waited 30 mins to find someone to get clubs, and range was closed. Rental clubs had 12 clubs vs 14, and the sand wedge was broken/rattling. Tee boxes were in poor shape on many holes. Bunkers were ponds (not draining properly). Greens had recently been aerated but we were charged full green fees. Fairways were in nice shape. Cart paths needs to be replaced. Worst of all, I left a pair of Oakley sunglasses in my cart and quickly realized it when I got to my car. I walked back and the guy cleaning the carts said he hadn’t seen my sunglasses, nor did he know where he emptied the cart. I dug through 3 trash cans myself and found my sunglasses. He offered no help.

$130 for punched and sanded greens!!!!!! NO heads up about it either. Teed off at 2 and only saw the cart girl once before she said she was done. This needs to be a $70-$80 round NOT the $130 I paid!

Great course with a challenging set up. Many different tee options for every level of golfer. The price is a little high, but the course was for the most part taken care of very well. I would play here again, but for the price I may look at trying some other courses in the area.

Absolutely gorgeous track; very packed this time of year but a great course, irrigation system is on point. Be early for your T-time because they’ll put you down as a no show and the starter is firm but will get you off if possible. Greens are fast for this area and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this course.

Great course. Fun course....not too difficult. Greens are great as well. Updated for the current condition. Love this course, but this time the starter was rude. Tee time was 10:10 but didn’t tee off until 10:40 because of the number of people backed up at first tee box. Also the worst shape I’ve seen the course in (course is still in great shape just compared to normal it was bad). Might be time to start charging more or have someone rethink the tee sheet. Another update. Course is an absolute dump now. Greens are pure sand and SLOW. Driving range grass that was once pure Bermuda is 98% weeds. Not sure where the $150 greens fees are going but it’s not back into the course, it was once one of the nicest courses I’ve seen. I’d dare say it’s about on par with Seascape right down the road now.

Good course. Good fairways. However bunkers are poorly maintained and full of larger rocks. The cart path is crumbling away in multiple places. Would rate higher but for the $100+ price tag per person. Not worth it.

Great course to play on vacation. Fun layout, we'll spread out. Good conditions on all. Only complaint was that the greens had inconsistent sand messing with the speed, and the bunkers were not in the best of shape

Raven Golf Club is nicely conditioned with fast but fair greens. Fairways were tight. The scenery was lacking in memorable holes, but the 18th was definitely the most difficult. Overall, it was enjoyable and recommended.
