Course Overview

Located in the scenic town of Brandon, Vermont, Neshobe Golf Club offers an inviting 18-hole layout that balances challenge with approachable play. This semi-private course stretches just over 6,400 yards with a par of 71, making it suitable for a range of skill levels from enthusiastic amateurs to seasoned players. The course’s rolling terrain meanders through classic New England countryside, where gentle hills and mature trees frame each hole, creating both strategic challenges and visual appeal without overwhelming golfers.

Fairways offer generous landing areas, but well-placed hazards and undulating greens ensure that precision rewards the patient. The greens consistently receive praise for their speed and responsiveness, demanding attention to putting technique. Players will find a blend of short par-4s and reachable par-5s, demanding thoughtful club selection and course management throughout the round.

Accompanying the course is a welcoming clubhouse that serves as a local gathering point. The Long Iron restaurant provides a relaxed setting for post-round meals and refreshments, with scenic views that capture the surrounding verdant landscape. Staff at Neshobe are known for their attentiveness and friendly approach, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere that makes every visit feel valued.

The course supports walking, and many members and guests appreciate the terrain’s walkability, though sturdy shoes are recommended due to natural Vermont footing. Availability of rental clubs is limited, so visitors traveling without their own equipment should plan accordingly.

Neshobe Golf Club appeals to golfers drawn to a purposeful, well-maintained course with a community feel. Its modest greens fees do not understate the quality of the experience, often surprising those who discover it for the first time. Whether testing your short game or simply enjoying New England’s quieter golfing moments, Neshobe provides a rewarding outing against a backdrop of familiar Vermont charm.

Course Highlights

Neshobe’s routing thoughtfully uses Vermont’s natural contours to create holes that challenge with elevation changes and strategic bunkering. Played here 7/14/25. First time playing here, been on my list for quite awhile. Didn't disappoint! What a gem! Course was in fantastic shape. Some of the nicest tee boxes I think I've ever hit from. Many unique, picturesque holes. Most definitely will be back!

Have been going for over a decade. Vermonts hidden gem and my personal favorite golf course in the state. After playing over 126 courses from California to Florida, including Cimarron, TCP Sawgrass, TCP Colorado, Arrowhead, Broadmoor GC, Black Desert, Venetian, Trump International, San Ignacio, etc. This course continuously holds it's spot in my top 5 of all time. It's not the fanciest, but it feels like home. Be prepared for a possible gallery on 5. I very much dislike the 9th hole but in a loving way. Like an abusive grandmother who you enjoy seeing only because she brings you money and candy for Christmas. Long Iron restaurant always hits the spot and I very much enjoy the laid back atmosphere. To continue the metaphor, it's like going to your grandparents house. You feel comfortable, important, and welcome. Wonderful views, and an attentive staff. Add rental clubs. Was told there were none. That is unacceptable for those traveling or without. An updated driving range would be a nice addition.

They best course we ever played for under$60. Don’t let the low fees fool you, truly a hidden GEM. Very popular with the local golfing community, maybe difficult to get a time. While on a golf vacation this week we played it Sunday have since rearrange our 4 days lineup to play it again. Pro staff and employees all wonderful.

Update August 2024: Course is still in great condition and such a great way to spend 4.5 hours on the golf course. Food and drinks in the clubhouse are tasty and they have a beverage cart available on weekends. Still a highly recommend! My Girlfriend and I have played here several years now during the summer. The course is kept in pristine condition, the terrain is fun but also challenging and the staff are super friendly. We highly recommend Neshobe!
