Belles Springs Golf Course

Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, USACentral Pennsylvania

Belles Springs Golf Course presents an 18-hole public layout defined by rolling elevation changes and open fairways. With challenging par 5s and scenic views of Amish farmland, it offers a well-maintained, approachable round for golfers of various skill levels.

Course Overview

Belles Springs Golf Course offers a striking blend of challenge and natural beauty just outside Mill Hall, Pennsylvania. This 18-hole public course unfurls across gently rolling terrain marked by significant elevation changes that create a rich, dynamic layout. Players can expect a parkland-style experience with open fairways and strategically placed bunkers that require thoughtful shot placement. The course demands careful club selection, especially on the two formidable par 5s—a 608-yard test on the front nine and a 548-yard challenge on the back nine—that reward distance while inviting risk-reward decisions.

The setting provides sweeping views of the surrounding Amish farmlands and quiet back roads, which evoke a contemplative atmosphere that slows the pace of your round in the best way. Fall is a standout season at Belles Springs, when vibrant foliage adds dramatic color to the landscape and the softer light brings the layout’s subtle contours into sharper relief. Despite its open design, ample shaded spots along the course offer welcome respite during warmer days.

Playability here is approachable across skill levels, with several sets of tees ensuring that seniors, beginners, and experienced golfers find a suitable challenge. Fairways are generous, helping to keep the pace of play moving steadily, while well-maintained greens provide consistent roll and true reads. Belles Springs combines the convenience of a public venue with a quality layout that invites return visits.

The clubhouse features a modest snack bar and bar area, perfect for rehydrating post-round, with locker rooms and showers available to refresh after play. While the pro shop is straightforward, the staff maintains professional service throughout your visit.

Whether you’re drawn by the course’s light but varied challenges, scenic elevation shifts, or affordable green fees, Belles Springs Golf Course rewards careful strategy and patience. Expect a well-kept course that balances playability with moments of serious golf, framed by Pennsylvania’s rural charm.

The golf course itself is gorgeous but the staff pretty much ruins it. Sad they can't higher professionals that care about their job and not on power trips. Doesn't matter how good the coarse is if the staff make it miserable.

The course was in great condition. They had the leaves cleaned up in the rough making it easier to find the "occasional" 😉 ball that started from the fairway. Pace of play was very good. The view of the fall colors on the course and the surrounding area was spectacular!

PROS: GREAT course with lots of photo ops. Played for $25 on Group Golfer. It was over 100 degrees outside, yet still had great time. Pro shop was nothing special. Staff was professional.. Not overly or underly friendly. BREATHTAKING views-------that are probably even better in the fall. Seemed like a photo op every other hole. Good variety of challenge depending on which tees you opted for. I played the front 9 in 40 from seniors and the back 42 from whites. Probably 500 yards difference. VERY generous senior tee locations. Greens were very consistent. Fairly open course with not a lot of danger. As open as it was, found LOTS of shade to wait under when having to wait on other golfers. Snack shop and bar with locker room and shower----which I definitely needed when done. Bartender was wonderful filling up my water bottles for trip to next destination. CONS: not much. Pace of play on back 9 was a tad slow, but not the worst. Hooked up with local and had a great chat and comparable level of play. If not so far away would DEFINITELY play again!!!!!!!

I wanted to give this place zero stars, but I’m giving it one — only because my husband and son said the course itself was very nice. I’ve taken time to pray and reflect before writing this. My husband and our 19-year-old son came up from Florida for a visit and were excited to play a round of golf together. They brought their clubs and booked an early morning tee time. When they arrived at the clubhouse, my husband politely said, “Good morning, we have a tee time.” The man behind the counter — and I hesitate to call him a gentleman — responded with, “I doubt you do,” in an unnecessarily rude tone. Despite the treatment, my husband, a kind and well-educated Puerto Rican man, smiled and gave his name. The man glanced at the list, confirmed the tee time without apology, and coldly told them where the carts were. My son was shocked. My husband, trying to keep the peace, told him, “Unfortunately, you’ll come across people like this in the world. Don’t let them steal your joy.” He brushed it off — I cannot. We’re active golfers and often travel to courses for both leisure and business. Sadly, this is not a place we’ll recommend. To the man who treated them that way: I’ll pray for you. Judging someone by the color of their skin is wrong — and it does not belong in any clubhouse, on any course, anywhere.

Found this little hidden gem during the LLWS. Beautiful course, with lots of elevation changes, in pristine condition - and extremely low greenfee. Nice service in all aspects of the round. A few really challenging holes, including a 608 yd monster par 5 on the front nine and a 548 yd par 5 on the back nine. The area around is also beautiful, with lots of Amish farms and back roads.
