Eagle Ridge Golf Club
Eagle Ridge Golf Club presents a versatile 27-hole challenge featuring three distinct nines—Pines, Links, and Ridge—in Central New Jersey. With its well-maintained conditioning, varied landscapes, and strategic layouts, the club offers an engaging test suited for a range of golfers seeking both challenge and enjoyable play.
Course Overview
Eagle Ridge Golf Club, located at 2 Augusta Blvd in Lakewood, New Jersey, offers a compelling golf experience across its distinctive 27-hole layout. Divided into three unique nines—Pines, Links, and Ridge—the course challenges players with varied terrain and strategic shot-making opportunities. The Pines course cuts through narrow corridors lined with towering pines, evoking the feel of a classic North Carolina forest course with natural waste areas demanding precision. The Links layout opens up with wider fairways but tests length and endurance, providing a more traditional links-style challenge. Ridge, the third nine, winds around water features and subtle contours reminiscent of east coast dune golf, requiring thoughtful club selection and patience.
This member-friendly club maintains conditioning that impresses year-round, even in early spring when many layouts struggle. The fairways are generous yet firm, and the greens respond crisply to well-struck putts. The course’s slope rating climbs to 138 on certain nines, signaling a serious test especially for mid to low handicappers seeking a challenge beyond their local parkland course.
Eagle Ridge balances challenge with accessibility, encouraging all skill levels to engage with its strategic design. While the cart paths are mandated, the course is walkable with gradual elevation changes and well-maintained paths. Golfers should prepare with sturdy shoes, especially when weather softens the ground. Amenities complement the round with a fully stocked pro shop, a food hut for quick refreshment, and attentive cart service including digital screens for scoring and GPS, enhancing pace of play.
Visitors report warm hospitality, making it easy to feel welcome even without membership. Whether exploring all 27 holes or selecting your favorite nine, the diversity of experiences rewards repeat visits. As an 18- or 27-hole option, Eagle Ridge invites golfers looking for a well-maintained, thoughtfully routed course in Central New Jersey that challenges its players while providing a supportive environment.

Played this weekend and was kind of stunned with how awesome it was. Honestly surprised to see any bad reviews at all. Perhaps it is because it was so hard? Slope is 138, which is 2 points higher than Pinehurst #2 so it's good to set your expectations prior to the round. Played all 27 and each 9 gives you a much different look. Pines is super narrow and reminded me of North Carolina with the waste areas and pine trees everywhere. Links was definitely a little more open but long and tough. Ridge reminded me a bit of twisted dunes with lots of cool water features. It is a shot makers course and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Really nice 27 hole course in Lakewood. Beautifully maintained. For the beginning of April couldnt believe how nice ERGC really is. Always want to play but it was always booked and you can see why. Plus the course cost half the money it normally does. Plays long. Has everything, cart girl, food hut, nice pro shop. If you have a chance to play here, definitely book it, you wont be disappointed.

Had an amazing round here last Monday. Course is in amazing shape. Was visiting from Florida and the hospitality was top notch. You felt like you were a member! Definitely will come back to play again next time I'm in the area next year! Thanks for the great time. There's 27 holes at this course, only had the pleasure of playing Ridge/Pines

Played here with a bunch of friends and we were disappointed for a few reasons . Nice course in decent shape with some challenging holes . However , our group had repeated problems with our golf carts stopping, on the cart path , with the notice Restricted Area . Evidently , this is a recurring problem that management has yet to address . Additionally , The ball washers at all tee boxes were removed during COVID and 5 years later have yet to be replaced . Finally , The cart path only rule has led to large fairway divots not being replaced or the ground being re-seeded !

Great place. It's definitely one of the nicest courses around. Especially love the new screens on the carts. They really add to the game.
