Disappointed by the Service – Would Not Recommend I recently played this course and unfortunately got rained out after only three holes. While I understand that weather can be unpredictable, what I found unacceptable was the complete lack of flexibility or customer service. Despite rain being clearly in the forecast, there was no mention of a “no refund / no rain check” policy when I paid. It wasn’t until I returned to the clubhouse, drenched and hoping for at least a 9 hole rain check (I would have taken a coupon for a bucket of balls), that I was told—rather rudely—that there would be no compensation of any kind. A staff member named Ricky was dismissive and snarky when I asked about a possible rain check. He pointed to a small sign in the corner, claiming the policy has been the same since the 1990s, as if that somehow made it reasonable to exclude this basic courtesy. This lack of transparency, poor attitude, and total disregard for customer experience left a bad taste. There are too many great courses out there that treat golfers with respect and common courtesy. I won’t be returning—and I’d advise others to look elsewhere before paying an excessive amount of money to play a course where the staff has a pretentious attitude and 0 care for the customer.

Double Sided Review 1st-Course is excellent!!!! Fun layout, great conditions, beautiful scenery(especially in the fall). 2nd-Operations were very disappointing. Five green shirts(Monmouth County Park employees) standing around in the golf shop when I walked in. Out on the course I saw two more driving around in carts. I’m not sure what the two on the course were doing because I was playing as a single, hitting it well and enjoying the afternoon when all of a sudden a threesome we’re in front of me on the sixth hole. They were not there before. They drastically slowed down my pace, took me out of rhythm and never asked me to play through. After a hole and a half I walked off the course to ask for a refund in the shop. They said they don’t do that. I left and will not be back. $60 for a spoiled afternoon because unprofessional and lazy operations. As I began…very disappointing.

Wonderful golf facility with excellent staff services. This is absolutely a very good and challenging golf course. I cannot wait to play at Hominy Hill Golf Course again.

Solid Robert Trent Jones County course. Staff is pretty good. 15 handicap will maybe break 90 from the white tees Normal pace is 4:15/4:30 for a round depending on weekend/weekday so expect 4 1/2 hours on busy days and enjoy. Great value at around $50. Holes 8 & 10 are long par 4s and the toughest while back 9 plays at least 4 strokes harder than front. ARRIVE EARLY for your tee time and enjoy. 🏌️‍♂️

Beautiful course, VERY well-kept, plays well for long hitters, probably the best of Monmouth County. Saturday morning $52 w/ county card. $72 w/ cart. Also, very nice golfers around here.

More like 4.5 stars. I love the course. I play here all the time. It's very well maintained for a public course. It's not a super interesting layout and the par 3s are a little bland. Lots of doglegs. Very affordable course if you have a county card and it's not THAT hard to get a tee time assuming you're flexible and aren't booking a 4some. I will say that they do get a bit pretentious with the younger players. I'm in my early 40s and get around no problem and they're always nice to me. However guys in their 20s get read the riot act about course rules prior to every round. The employees just assume the kids are going to get drunk/high and do donuts on the greens or something. Almost all of them just want to play golf like the rest of us. Other than that, the clubhouse is super nice and it's a great round of golf. Play is hardly ever slow and they do a good job of keeping it moving.
