Do not waste your money, we checked in and checked right back out. The whole resort was very outdated. Room was horrible, very very outdated. Carpet had stains, bathroom had spots on counter and floor, room was very dark and very outdated. Did not stay not one night. We checked in went to room and immediately checked out.

I felt sorry for the people working there. There were so many unhappy folks trying to check in. My husband and I came to just get away for a night with some friends who also booked a night. We called ahead and asked if there was any chance of checking in early. The gal said you can actually check in by 1:00. Sweet! We get there and both rooms are not ready. We started out with a King room and was given an upgrade, no extra expense. Great! It was after 4:00 before we could get into our room. Our friends had to bring their stuff to our room and get ready because we had reservations at 5:15. We all get to this upgrade and it was the filthiest room I had ever attempted to stay. ALL surfaces needed cleaned badly. Hadn't been vacuumed, hair all over the bathroom swirled around and left behind by a mop that was so wet it left muddy footprints behind of the staff that "cleaned". Carpet needs stretched so badly, I actually tripped with our luggage but didn't fall thankfully. Not sure how that's not a major liability if someone really does hurt themselves. It's that bad. We called the front desk and was apologized to but we couldn't get our King room back and was sent to a double queen which we couldn't change over to until we got back from our reserved event. Some of the people working there you could tell were just feeling dread. Whoever invests in this property needs to do better as it's not fair to the guests or the people trying to work in an old facility that needs a MAJOR overhaul. I did get a full refund. This happened Saturday and it was in my account by this morning so they did keep their word. I would not stay here again unfortunately.

I have visited the Lodge in the past and had a wonderful stay. However, that was many years ago and I thought that I did my research. We were very disappointed in our room quality and had to have them get us another room. The second room was better, but still very dated. The service and the lodge itself are gorgeous. Just make sure to do your research on the room you choose. We booked a king suite, just for clarification.

We recently stayed at the lodge, we were looking for a larger accommodation. We finally took a suite that was to the back of the lanai rooms. The space was great. One morning we woke up to no water anywhere in the suite. We would have had a great lake view. But the bushes hadn't been trimmed and from the deck you couldn't see over them. Staff was friendly, but the rooms need a serious update and a thorough cleaning. Not sure we would stay there again. My granddaughter who is 8, had a 100.00 mani/pedi. The service was OK. But the polish came off in the pool the next day. Slightly disappointed in the whole stay.

Our stay here was made great by our own doing. We made some great friends here and that was the best part of our stay. The hotel itself is a mess. The carpet is coming off the floor, the elevator doors are DISGUSTING, and really makes you question the quality of cleanliness of all other things. Our toilet was inoperable for 30 min every other hour as it had a mind of its own. This place still operates as if we are in COVID, and that comes at zero benefit to you, only there payroll, as it shows in the hospitality and service…definitely not what you expect from anywhere in 2025. The food was great and Sammy and Jake are amazing, but all other operations need some help.

I am sad to see some of these reviews as our stay was the complete opposite. Sure the property could use some updating but for the most part we had a wonderful stay. We arrived earlier than check in because our friends had come a day earlier. The guy at the desk (I cannot remember his name) was very helpful and got us checked in early because our room was ready. He did not have to let us check in almost 3 hours early. Our room was clean and everything was stocked. The one time I needed extra towels (my own choice because I like to have a new towel after every use), they were quick to bring them. Our friends had a wonderful stay (there was 2 other couples) and the only complaint they had was the hot water wasn't working that well but after it was mentioned it was not an issue. I will say that sometimes there is just bad experiences but I would not, not book just because of a few bad reviews. We will definitely be back.

there were no chairs on the balcony when we arrived. The food at the on-site restaurants wasn’t good, and trying to find a seat at the pool was frustrating—people would leave towels on chairs to “claim” them all day, even when they weren’t there. The spa was also a disappointment. I booked a massage and was shocked by how overpriced it was for what I got—and I’m not a cheap ass, just honest when something isn’t worth the price. That said, there were a few highlights: the fireworks show was pretty good, and the DJ at the pool during the day and again at night added a fun vibe to the 4th of July celebration. Most importantly, I still truly enjoyed my weekend with my lovely wife. Her company alone heals my soul, and that made the trip meaningful—despite the resort’s shortcomings
