Fun links course, great views of the Charleston Mount pleasant harbor as well as Arthur ravenel bridge in the backdrop. Gusty conditions are certainly expected. when we played the greens were lightning fast partially because they were barren of grass. otherwise would have given this a higher rating. not to mention it has gone up in price over the years.

Played Patriots Point on 4/10/2025. This course has completely lost their greens, they are unplayable. They are charging FULL PRICE and it’s criminal they never mentioned beforehand that you can’t putt. Do not play here, total rip off. See photo, ALL greens are the same.

Generous at two stars, only because my reviews are aimed to give the beneficial of the doubt. Confident to say, the worse course I've ever played. Saying the greens were trash is an understatement. It was like playing on the sand at low tide, there wasn't a speck of grass. I'm convinced that someone was seeking buried treasure from Black Beard in the fairways because it consisted of small holes everywhere and i mean everywhere. The only good thing they had going for them was that the fairways were in fact grass and not sand. I was so excited to play at the beach thinking this would be a decent course and justifying in my mind that it was $96 (because it was the beach). The pro shop, in fact told us that there was a "significant" reduction in price because the greens were not good. I realized shortly after I received the receipt that the reduction in price was only $6. I can't imagine in any world where that is "significant". I genuinely had high hopes for this course and was happy to play with my family on Labor Day weekend but it was just a disappointment.

While visiting family in the area I had the pleasure of playing this course. It didn’t disappoint! Beautiful location, welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, easy to check in, and a well kept links style course with great fairways, fast greens, powder soft bunkers (only 2xs), a very good pace of play and a great place to have a cold one . I already told my son I would love to play this course when I come back next year!

I played Patriots Point in May of 2025. This was the worst course I’ve ever played in my entire life. Zero exaggeration. The greens were beyond horrendous. Nothing but mud and sand, zero grass. I’d have been better off putting my ball down a Plinko board. All 18 greens were terrible. An absolute waste of money and I’d recommend anybody considering to play this course take your money to literally any other course. You’ll have a much better experience elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Patriot Point Links was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. Simply put, the course is in horrendous condition and should not be open for regular play—let alone charging anything close to full price. I booked my tee time online and even called ahead to confirm. At no point was I informed about the true state of the course. Upon arrival, I was casually told that two of the greens were temporary due to winter damage. What they failed to mention was that the other 16 greens were barely playable—just a patchy mix of mud, sand, and unrepaired divots. It felt more like putting through a construction site than a golf course. The fairways weren’t much better. The entire course looked neglected, and nothing about the layout or views made up for the poor conditions. It was dull, uninspired, and clearly not being maintained to any acceptable standard. They did offer a token $10 discount, but frankly, that’s an insult given the state of the course. This is not a minor inconvenience—it’s a fundamental failure to deliver what they advertise. In my opinion, Patriot Point Links should be temporarily closed until they can restore the course to a basic level of playability. At the very least, they owe it to customers to be fully transparent online and over the phone about current conditions. Do yourself a favor and skip this one until they fix things—there are too many better options out there to waste your money and time here.

Greens are dirt and mud. Unfortunately it’s all of them too. Wish I would’ve went out and checked it out before paying. Would’ve been nice to be told about green conditions by the staff. The course shouldn’t be open right now and if it is it should be a $15 round. I imagine greens inside of an active volcano would be better than these right now! Fortunately I’m a local but I can’t imagine coming on a Charleston golf trip and paying to play this course, only reason I’m leaving a review.

Came in from Pittsburgh on a weekend trip. George in the pro shop and Amy in the bar were both incredible! They made our entire trip better with their hospitality!
