Cahaba Falls Golf Course

Centreville, Alabama, USACentral Alabama

Cahaba Falls Golf Course offers an 18-hole test of golf defined by elevation changes and strategic water placement. With a back nine that shines through well-maintained turf conditions, this course challenges and rewards players across skill levels in Central Alabama.

Course Overview

Cahaba Falls Golf Course presents a spirited test of golf in Centreville, Alabama, blending natural elevation shifts with an 18-hole layout that appeals to a diverse range of players. While its terrain demands careful shot-making, subtle downhill and uphill approaches challenge both strategy and execution, rewarding those who read the course thoughtfully. The setting is marked by rolling fairways guarded by water hazards and strategic bunkering that invite precision over brute force.

Players will notice that the front nine requires steady play, contending with some fairways currently showing signs of wear. However, the back nine steps up as the highlight, offering well-manicured turf on fairways and greens that hold consistent pace and true roll. This contrast makes the course a layered experience: it encourages growth and resilience with every hole played.

Cahaba Falls’ elevation changes present unique sightlines uncommon in many Alabama courses. These shifts test not only distance control but also shot selection around the greens, where natural contours shape putting challenges. Water coolers placed thoughtfully along the course reflect an understanding of player comfort under the southern sun, adding a practical touch to the round.

Golfers visiting Cahaba Falls should be prepared for some uneven cart paths and fairway conditions in areas, which lends a raw character to the course’s vibe. Walking remains a viable way to engage with the layout, but sturdy footwear is advisable, especially around the more rugged patches. The course charges a remarkable rate that makes competitive golf accessible while delivering moments of genuine challenge.

This course invites golfers who value developmental rounds and course management over sheer distance. Its blend of elevation, water, and hazard placement encourages thoughtful play and rewards composure. Cahaba Falls Golf Course remains a compelling option for local and visiting players seeking a spirited, varied round in the heart of Alabama’s golf scene.

Course Highlights

Hands down the worse course I’ve ever played. Cart path beat to death, very little grass on some fairways, greens were well kept, the courses that the club house can see were the only nice ones.

Played in April 2023- Overall, while the condition of the front nine left something to be desired. Tee boxes, and fairways were in rough shape with large patches of dirt and gravel. However, the back nine of this course was definitely worth playing. The fairways and greens were really well maintained and the layout felt like more of a championship course. Golfers looking for a challenge and some beautiful scenery should definitely give this course a try.

Great golf course. Some really challenging holes and elevation changes. They always have the water coolers full as well. 18 holes with cart and range balls 27 dollars. Excellent deal. Would have been 5 stars but the cart paths do need a little work.
