Course Overview
Inland Greens Park & Golf Course in Wilmington, North Carolina, offers a distinctly approachable yet engaging test of golf designed to sharpen skills without demanding a full day on the course. This 9-hole executive layout presents a concise experience, making it an ideal destination for players who want to work on their short game or carve time out of a busy schedule. The course plays to a par 27 and features holes that rarely exceed 150 yards, strategically blending modest length with water features and subtle bunkers that challenge shot selection and precision.

While tee boxes are artificial turf, the course maintains an inviting playability for all skill levels, especially beginners and mid-handicappers aiming to build confidence in approach shots. The greens are known to run on the slower side, demanding a smooth touch and patient reads, which adds to the developmental nature of the course.
This course thrives as a no-frills, budget-conscious option—rounds can be completed in roughly an hour when the pace of play is steady and unencumbered. Walking is recommended and comfortable for most players, with smooth pathways and flat terrain that avoids excessive strain. Rental pull carts are available for those looking for an easier stroll.
While the compact design may limit the use of longer clubs, the course’s water hazards and well-placed sand traps introduce a subtle element of strategy that keeps each hole fresh. Inland Greens is an excellent spot for practicing approach shots, chipping, and putting under real course conditions. Its accessible location in Wilmington and friendly atmosphere have cultivated a loyal local following.
For players looking for a quick yet meaningful golf session or families hoping for a casual outing to nurture new skills, Inland Greens balances simplicity with just enough character to keep rounds interesting. You get what you pay for. But with that said l enjoyed the course. You will never think for a second that you are playing Pine Valley (and l mean the NJ one) but it’s a cool little 9 hole executive course. I think the longest hole was about 140-150 yards. The tee boxes are artificial turf, but there are spots you can use a tee in the ground. The holes were actually really cool with some water even coming in to play. Obviously you don’t need to think about a fairway. The greens are slow, but that’s what I expected. I had no one in front of me, so l was able to walk it in about an hour. Perfect to scratch the itch. All in all, $9 (+$2 for a pull cart) will definitely entice me to return.

As a very new golfer… this place is VERY high stress ! Lots of houses around. Not a lot of room for error. I usually have no clue where I’m going to hit it. My husband and I ended up playing best ball and that made it a more fun experience. Not a lot of waiting on a Wednesday afternoon

The par three course helps me work on my approach shots and improve my midrange and short game. the nine holes are varied enough that it works on different aspects and skills.

Not perfect but dang fun for the money. Son and I golfed and even rented a pull cart for a grand total of $20! Only need a few irons and a putter as the course doesn’t have much length to any of the holes. Tee boxes are rough but it’s all good.
