Located in the mountains of San Diego County, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park spans over 24,700 acres of forests, meadows, and streams. The elevation varies from 3,000 to 6,000 feet, allowing for a range of flora and fauna as well as stunning vistas from its higher elevations. Visitors can enjoy over 100 miles of trails suitable for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The park's wildlife includes deer, coyotes, bobcats, and the occasional black bear. Lake Cuyamaca, adjacent to the park, is a popular spot for fishing and offers opportunities for picnicking and birdwatching.
