Golden Trout Wilderness covers over 300,000 acres in the Inyo and Sequoia National Forests in California. It is named after the California golden trout, the state fish of California, which is native to its waters. This wilderness features a diverse ecosystem that includes meadows, granite peaks, and numerous glacial lakes. Key recreational activities include hiking, backpacking, fishing, and horseback riding.
