Robert H. Treman State Park, located near Ithaca in the Finger Lakes region of New York, spans over 1,110 acres and offers visitors a scenic natural escape. The park is characterized by its rugged landscape, featuring a dramatic gorge with 12 waterfalls along Enfield Creek. The most notable of these is Lucifer Falls, which descends 115 feet. The park’s ecosystem includes hardwood forests, diverse plant species, and opportunities for wildlife viewing, such as deer and various birds. Historically, the area was shaped by glacial activity, and remnants of 19th-century mill sites add a historical dimension. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy recreational activities such as hiking, swimming in a natural pool at the base of a waterfall, and camping.
