Pontiac Lake Recreation Area spans over 3,700 acres in Oakland County, Michigan, centered around the 640-acre Pontiac Lake. Originally utilized for agricultural purposes, the land was acquired in the mid-20th century by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and developed into a state recreation area.
