Quartz Mountain Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a 14,000-acre protected region located in southwest Oklahoma, near the Wichita Mountains. It features steep granite hills, mesas, and valleys that provide a mix of rugged landscapes and forested areas. The WMA surrounds Quartz Mountain Lake, a reservoir popular for fishing and boating. The habitat supports abundant wildlife including whitetail deer, turkey, quail, and numerous waterfowl species, making it a significant area for hunting and wildlife observation.
